I think so. Now, who is going to have a surprise year in Football this upcoming year?

I think UT will be the big dogs this year.

I don't think it was a surprise to anyone that knew the team that UGA had coming. UGA was Top 10 in SOME polls before the season started and Top 15-20 in others. People take this pre-season ranking crap too seriously so when a team is ranked #18 by Athlon and they win it all, it's like "OH MY GOD, WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?"

So you are saying the only surprise you experienced last year was Florida beating you?

Georgia was no surprise last year. We had overwhelming talent at all of the skill positions, a veteran O-Line and the two best defensive players in the SEC in Pollack and Bailey. Richt didn't hurt either.

...because things wont happen this year jus cuz of stuff that happened last year, or 5 years ago, or 20 years ago. Didn't you learn that from this years CWS & LSU? I mean you weren't worried about them beating USC, & the reasons you gave were primarily because of things that happened in 2000, & 1993, & several other seasons that have long since stopped having anything to do with the here and now.

Earth to SouthLink...........................that's why they play the games!

Drakeman, did you expect USC to win the East last year? Of course. This "just cause" thing is a joke. Why do I expect to win? Because we return the SEC Offense POY and Defensive POY, A great D, and a incredible coach. You see, at UGA, we expect to win the SEC every year whether we are supposed to or not. Just because we were in a drought doesnt give me any less expectations. At USC, you may be aiming for 8-9 wins but I want a SEC Title. Maybe there is just a difference in our philosophy.

Yes, it is, & that's why I laugh at fans like you who constantly use it, & here's another shocker for you. What you think, expect, or what your philosophy is has nothing to do with what happens on the field. In fact, yours & my philosophies have absolutely nothing to do with anything.

Now, back to the original topic of the thread. I don't necessarily consider UGA's season a fluke. I've felt for the last few years that the talent level was there. They just needed to get the breaks necesary to pull it off, & they got that combination in 2002.

Did you read anything I posted above? My philosophy is to expect the best EVERY YEAR. Think positive. Sorry if I don't have the USC attitude of hoping to make it to a bowl every year. You all may be surprised but almost every team LSU, AU, UF, UT, ext...all say the same thing every year before the season starts.

Yes, I read your post. That's why I responded to it. Understand?

You made a post........... I responded to it........... therefore I read it.

You, on the other hand, totally repeated yourself while bringing nothing new to the discussion. Just your usual senseless ramblings.

Here. let me repeat this for you & see if you can come up with something new for a change.

And are you having trouble?

If that means thinking UGA will win, yes.

Yes it does. This is a message board. Opinions are what make this thing fly. I have my philosophy on what UGA will do (win the East) while you on the otherhand mock those who think that way since your team struggles to reach a bowl every year. I guess you just arent getting the connection with ours and yours.

LOL @ you as always S-L!! 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol

You can go on living in your deluded fantasy world that what you post, or what your philosophy is makes a difference in what happens on the playing field. I prefer to live in the real world where games are decided on the field by players and coaches, not by what's said by fans on a message board. Nice attempt (not really) at trying to shift the focus of my point from the football field to a message board though.

As for mocking, if I'm mocking anything, or anybody here it's not because of what USC has or hasn't done in relation to another team, & it has nothing to do with the concept of an UGA fan expecting to win the SEC. It's because of the shallowness and lack of thought provoking rationale used by you in explaining why UGA will win the SEC. You came pretty close with your earlier post about your returning POY's, ect, but then you blew it yet again by trying to bring what you perceive to be my philosophies about USC into the discussion.

Whatever the case, good luck to your team in 2003. Maybe you'll win the SEC. Maybe you wont. Time will tell, but don't kid yourself into thinking UGA will take the title merely because of YOUR philosophies or expectations.

Where have I stated that what I said makes a real difference on the field? LOL, good try 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol 03-lol

Facts and the truth hurt, don't they?

Christ, have you not seen where I predicted UT to win the East?
