MVP went to Baylor bound WR Yusef Terry. Boo.

Just kidding, he had a huge day.

Nothing different than what we have been doing for a number of years now. Early season home games are evening/night, mid-season are mid-afternoon, and late season are noon-one'ish. Nothing new.

Eh, I recall a November game against Richmond that had a 7:30 start time maybe 3 or 4 years back. Richmond won and made the playoffs, we lost and were out, but it was probably in the 20s by halftime, and pretty miserable.

That was a TV game back when we still had a conference TV deal in 2014.

RE: 2019 Football
So, four home games against pre-season #1/2 and #10/11, as well as #18 (Colgate), as well as Nova.

Pound for pound, may be among the best home schedules in all of college football, at all levels, in terms of the quality of teams that are coming to Cary/Zable.

Does our casual fan base have any understanding of this? Our student body?

And who schedules #1/2 as the Homecoming opponent? We do ... it’s the W&M way ... Homecoming at the end of October! In all seriousness, I love it, but other schools would rightfully consider us to be wacky.

Would rather see Villanova as the homecoming game but I understand to an extent.

I'm expecting this season to be a big surprise in terms of wins and losses. Very difficult schedule and a very energized team. Let's beat the Hoos,

I didn't realize we had a "casual fan base."

Are you referring to the people who come to the game but spend the entire afternoon/evening in the tailgating lots?

Yeah, we don't have a casual fanbase. We have 36 current students and 47 alumni who will catch an occasional event, 61 diehard fans who want to see every event, and 9,948 well-aged patrons who buy season tickets and will catch a game, weather and time dependent.

An entire corner is dedicated to players' families, a corner for opponents, and a corner for students. Diehards used to sit in the endzone. Season ticket holders dead center. The people who stay at their tailgates aren't fans at all.
