With it's pick in the Second Round of 2018, the Grizz select....
The Grizz pull lightning out of the bottle a consecutive year in the 2nd round and draft!! Trevon Bluiett!!!
Quote:Coach Chris Mack hasn’t recruited many more talented players than the 6-foot-6 scorer with a lightning-quick release. Tireless work in the gym and stringent self-discipline have propelled Bluiett into the Musketeers’ record book, even as he was humbled by an arrest last spring. He is third on the school’s career scoring list, and if he doesn’t deviate from his 18.9 scoring average, it will only be a matter of time before he surpasses NBA veteran David West. (Xavier radio analyst Byron Larkin, a guard who starred in the 1980s, has put the record out of reach with 2,696 points.) Not that Bluiett’s talking about it, of course.
Quote:When Bluiett traveled to UCLA for his first official visit in September 2013, his father told him not to commit. Trevon returned home committed.
It turns out that Bluiett’s former high school coach, Ed Schilling, was a Bruins assistant. That modicum of familiarity, coupled with the Hollywood lights and California vistas, drove a decision that seemed to make sense. A month later, when he knew his heart would be cleaved by the distance Los Angeles was from the Midwest and his family, Bluiett reopened his recruitment. He was a highly sought prospect courted by Michigan State, Memphis, Butler and Xavier. He chose the program that felt most right.

As long as they don't select Mo Bamba in the first round I am good...
The Grizz don't have the luxury to draft on potential
