Recruiting Notes Quotes
Quote:James Wiseman: The consensus top-ranked player in 2019 has long been considered a near lock to Kentucky, with the added potential to reclassify to 2018. One program to keep an eye on is Memphis. If former Tigers star Anfernee (Penny) Hardaway becomes the next coach at Memphis, look for the 6-11 Wiseman to follow his current AAU and Memphis East High School coach there. Such a move could send an immediate message to players in the region that the Tigers are back.

Quote:Tyler Harris: A diminutive point guard from Memphis, Harris was interested in Iowa State, but the Cyclones wouldn't guarantee the playing time he was looking for. Baylor and Clemson have offered the 5-10 Harris, while Mississippi State, Memphis and Tennessee are interested. Iowa State is keeping tabs. Harris is one of the best available point guards in the Class of 2018.

RE: Recruiting Notes Quotes
Penny + Wiseman reclassified + Martin + Harris + returning cast = pretty decent team

Ok. But he's the Warriors beat guy. Prior to that the Thunder beat guy. Not really known as an NCAA writer.

Do you subscribe to the Athletic? I don't, but couldn't find an article there he had written about college hoops.

Doesn't really matter, just like to have the link when people post quotes.

At least I know now why he doesn't visit recruits in their homes.
That one guy took us off his list the very next morning.

If he says things to recruits half as bad as his after game comments....whoa....

Those coaches that the FBI are after could sure use a little of whatever Tubbys got. Bottle that stuff, call it Tubbys Anti-Recruiting Spray, and he could sell it for 1000 bucks a pop.

At one point in Minnesota he had 4 top 100 players on the roster, and he also successfully recruited Royce White, who was a 5*, but he got kicked out of school.
