Houston or wichita should start at 9 eastern tonight. Gross. The sunday start times for our 4 games are unreal. Had to double check on a different site just to make sure I was seeing it correctly.

Weren't you bearcat fans bragging about how bad you beat a depleted SMU team?

Yup. I could list several right now if I wanted to but I won't for the sake of not sending this entire thread into a tailspin with UglycatTM rage.

That 10 loss team is under consideration for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid. It’s also a team that gave Cincy their closest win of the year and probably should have won it.

That was payday-esque fail.

NO Sir, beating UC in Cincy is a statement game, not beating Temple at home. You, sir had a C0|db|00ded failure.03-lmfao03-lmfao03-lmfao

Weak. Embarrassingly weak. God I hope your team performs tonight like you post.

We ****** up. The media was totally behind our "Invasion of the AAC". They had us queued up for all kinds of "conditional" prime slots (ESPN instead of ESPN2) as long as we did what the entire country expected us to do - stomp this league into the ground. Instead we put up a piss-poor effort in Houston and completely came unglued at Temple. Had we only lost the Milton Miracle we'd be top 5 right now and on everybody's talk show. Hopefully tonight will signal/cement our return to playing Shocker basketball with a revenge/statement game against a decent RPI team. We need this one to be by 20 points. Then we can go down to Porkopolis and Shock the kittens into submission.

Or not.

ESPN way overvalued that sunken flagship.

Considering you were picked second in the league and most the preseason stuff talked about this being a great two team race I think you're pretty far off saying the entire country expected you to "stomp" the league. I read plenty on this being a big step up for Wichita and acknowledging they'd have a tougher time. 3 games out right now. Hopefully UC closes out the regular season title in the next 4 days.

What were the Shockers ranked preseason again? Don't force me to dig up all the old preseason articles by attempting to rewrite history... I'm begging you. Just do the right thing, admit the Shockers were picked by the entire country to win this league and that will be the end of it. 04-cheers

The entire country, except for the AAC coaches whose opinion actually holds some weight.

RE: 2/15 AAC Basketball Games
Interested to see how the bearcats respond tonight.

Obviously, they know they can't start slow and i almost think UC should grind out Houston.

From the looks of it, Houston doesn't like slow grind it kinda of games. SMU was able to stay competitive without shake Milton and Foster in Houston and UCF kept it within 5 in their gym, by slowing the pace and grinding it out.

UC can grind it out and play uptempo. But uptempo at home against Houston may not be the recipe for success.

There are few guarantees in life. One of them ,however, is that this thread is going to massive by the time it is inevitably locked by the mods.

Interested to see the fan turnout.

If they don't show up for this game, then they never will.

Is this expected to be a sell out? I mean they are giving away free Tesla's to any one who shows up. Free SunGLasses. Free Tee Shirts. Free hot dogs and beers or whatever else. They are throwing out all the stops.

Imagine touting your preseason ranking and conference predictions in mid February. That was all fun and games in September but we have actual games now and polls/standings that reflect them. Noone will soon forget the year Wichita stomped the preseason polls.

RE: 2/15 AAC Basketball Games
Seriously.

Houston better win this game. From their social media account, houston message boards, players on twitter and so on, they are hyping this game up like its *** **** super bowl.

They can't wait to storm the court.

Houston has to win this game tonight. With build up like this; you can't amp up a pretty unenthusiastic fanbase and then lose. It doesn't help your program. They must be really confident they are going to win.

And as a UC fan, If there is any game I'm ok losing, its this one. Houston needs to make the tourney to validate the American and they are a top 30 team so it would be a tier 1 loss and our Win against them would remain tier 1

They will start to come in in the second half of the Houston game because the traffic is horrible around Houston seeing it's one of the Americas larger cities
