Sure seemed like a torn acl. Can't believe it. Gotta feel for the kid. Just a freshy, what a promising player this could potentially derail. Hope for the best. But I would not say this puts the tourney out of reach.

We sure look like crap since he’s gone out. Was a quick surge to get it up to 17 and now the team can’t make a shot and it’s tightened up a ton.

Did tk offer any speculation on the injury in the post game?

An injury like that would happen to us. Our D isnt as long without him on the floor. I like Roberts a lot minus the fact that he is short. Ohio may be the best 12 seed the MAC has ever had.

I’m really not sure what best case scenario is for this injury because I don’t know how it’s anything other than acl tear

Brian Buckey just tweeted the following regarding Marreon's injury:

UT coach Tod Kowalczyk said initial tests on Marreon Jackson's knee did not show any structural damage. He will have some more tests tomorrow, but Kowalczyk believes Jackson avoided a major injury.

I'm guessing it was a sprained knee from what I could see. Could have some cartilage torn or damaged. I would speculate that if there is no ligament damage, he will be back in 3 weeks - maybe less.

Was thinking while watching the last few games and hearing commentators' comments about the other teams, how lucky we've been with so few injuries. Hoping the best for Jackson. Regardless, best to rest at the risk of a few losses so he's ready for tournaments.

Hoping we have W Jackson, if not M Jackson for BSU. They are playing awfully well and W Jackson is a good offensive rebounder, one area in which they overwhelmed us at UT.

That would be very fortunate, considering what could have happened. We need him to carry out the goal of getting back to the NCAA tournament. I've been impressed with the true freshman. Seems to have great leadership potential.

well, hoping it is a minor injury. sure looked like one of those freak non-contact ACL's or torn patellas. sometimes, the sensation of a major knee injury can create a big reaction from the athlete. so, maybe some of the pain he seemed to be in was emotional.

if there's an upside - other than getting him back this season - it would be that the injury could force other guys to step up. We need a second vocal leader on the floor besides fletch. we need a late game playmaker to compliment sanford and fletcher. and we need to see if either of these down the bench guards-roberts or rose- wants to seize the opportunity and rise to the occasion the way gordon mostly has in his moment of opportunity. i still think roberts is playing tight and has more game to show.
