This is positive, and I’m a little more hopeful, but still fear the worst since it was non contact and he couldn’t put any weight on it.

Then again I’ve seen guys tear acls and be able to walk off with a limp.

Having torn an ACL before - it was almost painless when it happened. A lot of times you see guys continue playing with an ACL tear - until you feel like your knee is going to bend backward - or the swelling shows up rather quickly.

I first thought he tore the patella tendon, but after seeing him get up and try to put weight on it without excruciating pain (he was in pain, but he would have been screaming) I assumed it was not a tendon tear. But the next closest thing is the spraining of tendons and ligaments - which is very painful. Anyone having had a serious sprained ankle or knee (not a "tweak" or a "twisted ankle") knows full well how painful they are. You actually believe it is broken without any question.

Again it is only my speculation based on what I saw, but that and $3 will get you a small coffee at Starbucks.

Here is the latest on Marreon Jackson from Brian Buckey:

Toledo freshman point guard Marreon Jackson is considered day-to-day after his knee injury last night.

Good news for the Rockets as he was checked out today and avoided a serious injury.

Wow, Great News! Better than what it looked like right after it happened. Get him healthy for the Stretch Run to the MAC Tournament and beyond!

Great to hear! I hope both Jacksons are back to full speed by the time the tournament starts.
