Page 7 is interesting.

307-323 at UAB. Six winning seasons, five losing.

One losing season at BSC.
I guess Division I just really isn't his cup of tea.

I am under the impression that BSC was D1 in baseball and basketball until the school decided to establish D3 football which meant all programs had to drop to that same level. When that happened, Coach Shoop resigned (the basketball coach retired) and was then hired by UAB.

Wrong impression. They were never NCAA DI. BSC used to be an NAIA school.

They were actually DI. They jumped from NAIA to DI for a few years and played in the Big South and decided to drop down to non-scholarship DIII and add football.
