RE: More Scheduling News Coming From App
Sorry that this is my initial reaction, but I'm not sure I trustSouth Carolina will follow through with their commitment to come to Boone. They were supposed to come to ECU and either postponed or cancelled.

More Scheduling News Coming From App
2027 is a long ways away. By 2027 App could be in the SEC and South Carolina could be in the NFC.

If App keeps the train rolling, I'd imagine y'all's stadium will be large enough to accommodate an SEC opponent by 2025.

I was there when App beat the Cocks the last time we played them in 75. Hopefully lightning with strike once again in Columbia!

Glad it's finally out. Been sitting on this for over a month trying to keep it under wraps.

I've been intimately involved with App Athletics for 40+ years and people in the administration trust me with information knowing I'll keep it quiet.

Fixed it for you.

It's always best for cocks to stay under wraps.... but I'm not sure about sitting on them.

I'll see myself to the door.

Hold them to the contract. If I recall correctly, ECU was in a similar situation when - due to a "scheduling quirk"- which left USC with not enough home games one season, ECU agreed to rearrange the scheduled agreement and play the upcoming return game in Columbia and the last game of the contract in Greenville. Still waiting for that return game to ever take place. It keeps getting postponed for one reason or another.

I've known about this matchup before App and USC did

More Scheduling News Coming From App
I don't love giving up a 2 for 1 to anyone (I haven't looked at the terms so if it's a H&H + a money game correct me) but a high level local SEC school that will no doubt bring thousands to Boone is still an awesome get.

All game arrangements other than most true home and Home involve a nice payment. I imagine that this deal is similar to the UNC-CH arrangement where they are pay us a little over a million bucks. UNC is paying AppState $250k for one game in Chapel Hill and then $950k for the second game in Chapel Hill. Since they are only abou 3 hours away the travel expenses will be half what is involved with flying.

I think that with the true money game payouts reaching north of $1.5 million DG has been able to make compelling arguments to convince close by schools who rarely visit a G5 that the arrangement makes great financial sense for all. Both schools save a ton on traveling expenses and AppState makes a ton on the game in Boone by increasing season ticket sales and then selling an extra 10,000 standing room grass hill tickets at $45 each.

It is amazing to me how over on the GaSo Flight Line there are those arguing how a two for one is a bad deal. Well I suppose if any school ever agreed to a two for one with no payment arrangements I guess it would be.

Go! Fight! Win App!

I would sell my soul for a 2-1 with South Carolina so it's a good get for y'all imo
