If Houston wins by not having the refs interfere it will have to be 50/50. And Houston and Wichita never met.

i know brother. it's hard to win when the refs give the other team thirty points. you can overcome a lot of things, but the refs erasing a twenty point lead is not one of them. the best you can do is continue to complain about it

thats such foolish logic...
warriors are up 20 on the cavs...but half time the refs have kd, draymond and Iguodala with 4 fouls eachs on a ton of extremely questionable fouls...draymond fouls out as soon at the second half starts, kd fouled out mid 3rd..and iguodala cant play d like he wants because of the foul trouble..those are the warriors best 3 defenders..and the cavs come back and win it..how can you not say the refs played a big part?????

you didnt come back till the foul trouble....watch the game on youtube.. you couldnt score a single post point, all your points were from Washington and Clark shootings open 3s becuase our bigs werent expecting them to shoot it...then ALL our bigs get in foul trouble and you comeback almost exclusively on uncontested dunks and post points, but you dont think foul trouble played into it????

Sadly i lost a post when the site crashed that showed that houston is one of the worst teams in the country at fouling.

They average 21 per game VS UC's 16.. And most of those fouls comes from their bigs. Brady is averaging 9.9 fouls per 40 in conference play

The refs aren't out to get Houston, houston is out to get houston by not boxing out, going over the back and guarding with their hands not their feet.

Chances are: Houston runs into the same foul trouble they ran into in Cincinnati because.. they are statisically prone to be a high foul team. UC on the other hand, has been one of the least fouling teams in the entire country for 5 or 6 years running.

But incase you think I'm lying; here is a snapshot of the current AAC leaders in fouls. There is a lot of houston guys on there and Zero UC players. Please don't blame the refs, blame the coaches for not showing them how to guard properly.

Brady commits a foul every 4 minutes of play. The dude would be fouled out by half if they had to play him an entire half

Dude he picked up 2 very quick fouls against WSU too. Lets not pretend he isn't a fouling machine.

i feel i cant have rational conversations wth you...

we are talking about what happned specifically in the uc/houston game...your rebuttall is historical stats..why not say in this game this happened...

ive watched EVERY single game this year, we have never been in the kind of foul trouble we were at vs cincy...
and most of the fouls were questionable at best....

to make it very clear: im talking about all of them at once..so stating individual player was in foul foul before is meaningless...im talking about how it affected the group...

ive not had once convo with you that isnt hidden behind manipulated stats. like a real convo..its all convoluted manipulated stats with you..that you can choose to interpret however you like to fit whatever narrative you want....
like your stats said houston would be horrible..that we would be thin...thats obviously accurate
or that we wouldnt be able to score on you...obviously accurate

i dont think ive had a hindsight debate with you that ended up with you actually correct with the result came in

no need to debate, we play tomorrow....the refs that call our home games wont cook it for UC...so we'll see how it plays out

Geez Pesik, you are turning into a bad sport.

lol its just justin

we had a 10 page debate preseason about him telling me why houston would be subpar at best...how we lost our best player and we dont have anyone close to replacing him..that dotson was the glue that made us good
he then went on stat binge on why we cant replace dotson and data to show why we definitely wouldnt be good

i noted that we added 8 players, that last year it was gray and dotson...that next year we're 10x more deeper..he then went on to let me know that most of them would flop. none, even combined, could replace Dotson productions...and we would be thin, and way worse this year...

come find out we are drastically better and deeper than last year

then 3 weeks ago we hear non stop how we wont be able to score on uc, and non stop stats saying why..that we'll be lucky to touch 25......we score on them with ease

now houston fans note the abnormally large amount of fouls combined for all our bigs (not an individual player) and how that played into the comeback and we have never been in that kind of foul trouble all season.

if uc fans wanted to have a convo..they should have said something like "your players didnt adjust, the refs obviously called the game a lot tighter than most games. that you get that houston wants to play physical but if houston wants to take it to the next level there will be nights like that when the refs are quick to blow the whistle for any kind of touching, and you cant control them..that youll have to adjust" or some bs like that, thats a talking point

but instead what ya'll are trying to do is manipulate it to make it seem like this is an every game thing or us...us who have watched every game this year and know that to be completely false

Houston has certainly had a great year, and I look forward(as always) to the game tomorrow. In defense of Justin, and keep in mind I do not know the tone, the loss of Dotson was enormous. From the UC perspective, he appeared to be the best all around player on the team. Moreover, we fans were unaware that Davis and some of the others would develop. I figured that UC would clamp down on Gray and bully your bigs. It is not necessarily happening that easily. I thought that Houston would land in fifth or sixth this year. I believed Wichita would be better along with UC, SMU, Temple and UCF. If injuries and potential had panned out differently, this would not have been as unreasonable outlook.

As far as the UC/Houston game in Cincinnati, the game was horribly called. I would agree that Houston got the worse end of the deal, but there were a considerable number on UC as well. The crowd was disgusted by their calls and at one point booed the referees for two or three minutes straight. I spoke with one UC fan that agreed with me, the referees were taking the players out of the game. Hopefully, the referees will call a clean game tomorrow.

Exactly and keep in mind that who knows where this conference would be if we didn't have all the injuries. Would UCF be higher had it not lost Tacko and Bj and Aubrey Dawkins? would SMU be much better and tougher out if they had all their guys? and On paper, I think Temple has a great roster. I have no idea why temple didn't gel correctly, but they have a ton of talent on that team.

Sounds like you brought the same effort against Cincy that you brought against us. Thank you. You guys are officially legit in my book.

It also sounds like Cincy put up a better fight than we did. Good for them too.

Bet it’s a sellout, I have all sorts of casual college basketball fans asking about tickets for that game.

I'm kinda hoping it's barely half full, and the Coogs still beat Cindy, and then all the cindykat fans here go off on the UH attendance, and then the shocktop fans pile on the cindykats rubbing it all in.
