Stop giving credit to Hess for a poorly officiated game. I could make a tape of 10 calls he totally got wrong. Most of us would be fired for a day on the job like this.
Yes we played poorly, but stop allowing Hess to ruin basketball games. TV Teddy is heading out the door finally this year and Hess needs to go with him.

Outclassed huh? How about you eat one?

It ain't cocky if you back it up. Bucs bent over and let it happen.

Between 2-22 at Citadel and now this, I'm worried about our shooting. Even if they had called more down low, we weren't even hitting free throws tonight, and the turnovers like this I haven't seen since NKU1. This needs to be a wake up call that we can't just throw out the jersey and expect to win. I do wish they had called any of the times Alonso hooked guys though... Between the flops and hooks and everything else, that guy just never gets called on any of his crap.

Agree and agree. I don't like how often the term "trap game" gets thrown around, but WCU is more dangerous than they've been in a long time, and they may smell some blood in the water. Test of character how we come back from this.
Great point. I had fan fears of this WCU game even IF ETSU had won tonight.

Anybody that think Hess cost us this game is out of their mind. Poor basketball. UNCG was by far the better team tonight.

We played horribly. No doubt. But the tone was set in the first minutes of this game. Last game at home the officials didn’t fall for the flopping and called their bigs for bodying our guys up. They didn’t tonight.
Officials control every facet of the Game. That said we didn’t adjust.

Folks, we didn't lose this game because of officiating. We got our butts kicked by perhaps a better team. That's just the truth.
Offensively, we have had issues much of the season that is masked by playing in a bad conference. We have to play with more toughness, especially inside. We throw too many sloppy passes and go inside with weak shots from basically everyone on the team except Bradford which UNCG very effectively blocked back into our faces. And I fail to see why we have so much trouble getting the ball up the court on those token half court traps. Far too tentative.
On defense, we foul three point shooters, foul at half court with 5 seconds left on the shot clock, and let them get momentum which a good team will use take control of the game.

And out of the woodwork all the guys who love to wallow in misery come out to say how bad we are and that the guys didn’t want it enough. If you want to say we got beat tonight so be it but these guys work harder and play together better than any team I have seen. To throw off on them for a bad game and say they were outclassed and got embarrassed is ridiculous. They didn’t have it tonight. On to the next one.

Thank you. I refuse to apologize for a poor performance. I'm rarely down on this team, but tonight was nothing due to officiating

Wallow in woodwork? Are you kidding? I go to every freaking game and have been hyping this team up to everybody who would listen.

It's fair to call that an embarrassment. We got called out by the other team ahead of the game, and we lost miserably. What's proper now is to suck it up amd cheer our asses off at the next home game. All the bandwagon fans can stay home for all I care. All of us seasoned fans have a right to piss and moan at that kind of showing on a potential night of history.

After the home G game, I penciled this in as a loss, but I guess we will disagree. The Bucs lost to a better team, they got their butts kicked by Hess, therein lies the difference.

Listening to Coach Forbes on the radio post game. Man, I love his post-game - no excuses.
Man, I think the team's got a tough next few days at practice.

EXACTLY. This is still the best team in the conference and I want to see them beat the crap out of every team moving on. Hopefully this is just a wake up call.

We are the better team by any statistical measure that is available. Home court in college basketball is huge. We are favored on a neutral floor any time with them.

I don't disagree. But tonight, regardless of any officiating, uncg was simply better.
