Hey you're telling us people like that are wrong... So how are you any better again?

Im saying try and look at things from inside another person shoes once in a while. If you think Republican/conservatism is 'right' for innercity lower income folks, yes, you are indeed wrong.

I look at it this way...there isn't really one way that is 'right' or 'the truth' for everybody politically speaking.

If I'm an upper-middle or upper-class person -conservative is the way to vote. If I'm a poor/lower class person trapped in poverty generationally, conserativism isn't going to help me one bit and social programs will, therefore I am going to vote Democrat, etc.

I'm fine with people voting for what suits them and their life situation. I appreciate the folks who say "anybody can be anything they want to in life if they just work hard enough". That line is BS and people who say this are either intellectually dishonest or stupid.

What i have a problem with is when one group of people thinks their political ideology is 'the one' and that it 'works' for everyone...it doesn't.

Drive around an inner city, see people with no vehicle, no hope, no job prospects and a rumbling stomach. Some call them lazy. I say they have given up because of no hope. which is why the old adage, "people vote with their back pocket" is still a truism.....

it's also what the left abandoned and fully adsorbed in scope once ZERO got elected......

that's what was scary about the latest election.....too many realized that electing ZERO for a second term was a MONSTER misstep.....

if one doesn't recognize the right is basically the left from the JFK years, they're simply not paying attention or are clueless....

hell, even billy bob had a clue relative to that one....

LBJ, Carter, and ZERO fk'd this country up the arse with a ten foot pole like it was 'baton twirling' practice....

again, this is what is wrong with how the dippos have developed their voting base and why they're losing more seats than ever before....

the real battle is socialism vs. capitalism moving forward with policy being set by career politicians w/o term limits......

the rest is horseshite semantics unless that changes.....

Because Libertarians and Conservatives main ideology is keep the federal government out of your life (to different degrees)...

Liberal democratic ideology is that you must tolerate, accept, and celebrate things you don't like.

I'm an educated upper-class white guy. My wife and I earn a nice income. I'm 100% great with the government being 'out of my life'.

If I was an innercity, uneducated person with little prospects/hope raised in crap schools nobody wanted to be a teacher in, maybe a one parent home with no father figure, (as an example) -I would be 100% for the government in my life, helping me any way they can.

That's all Im saying.

The government responsible for those "crap schools"?

Thank you sir, may I have another? Lol.

Two things...

1 - The ideology that *WANTS* to impose it's views on you is the left.....
2 - It damn classist of you to sit here and say "well if you're a poor black in the inner city then of course you want the government to me mm/dad.

again, you can thank LBJ policies for spearheading that one in the modern era....only Reagan and billy bob had some semblance of a clue relative to economics.....

history will view the 'war on drugs' and the 'great society' as epic fail if we don't adhere to pragmatic policy and protect the USD.....

DJT is the first president with a clue relative to the overall macro side in my lifetime...... fwiw, I was b. Aug, 4 1965 (irony, same day as ZERO.....lol)

one can only hope for the best moving forward as a grain o' sand.....

Under this logic, those in government (that crave power) have a direct incentive to destroy your and everyone else's prospects, make the good schools crap, the crap schools even crappier, and break apart the family.

Lets get something correct.....

you would never be driving (or walking) around the middle of a intercity. So your conjecture of that is feed to you by whatever you see by the media.

The first thing you would do if you found yourself in a spot that looked black, poor, white, poor, brown, poor.....

lock your f'ing door and hope like hell you don't hit any red lights. And if you were packing, "honey get that 38 out and put it with in reach".

Coming from a life long democrat that grew up poor and had the help of a welfare program a couple times in my early life. I can safely say the democrat party, today and for the last 18 or so years....are not for those people you describe. And to be honest neither is the republicans.

But we do have a President (with all of his warts) that is trying to do just as you view those poor people. He wants them to get jobs. He wants companies to create jobs in those areas. He wants The fathers to help raise their kids and be a father. And he wants mothers to do the same. And if you need help, he wants you to get it. But also go out and help yourself.

Use welfare to help you...when you need it. Not as a tool so you don't have to go out and support yourself like the democrats have done over the last 18 or so years. For a lot of people that's getting housing asst. food asst and a check. Going to work would be a pay cut. That's the biggest problem. Yes I know people (white, brown and black) just like that.

Many people in the poorest parts of a city goes to work everyday and support their families. Those with a strong mother & father....

hates the deadbeats as much as you think everyone other than a democrat does. They hate having to send their child to a school where 25% makes it impossible to get a good education. They hate sending their child to the store because they might get robbed. They hate everything about those that are trying to milk the system.

Why? Because it make them be seen in the same light as those bums that just don't want to work. Don't want to go to school. Dont want to live by laws they have to.

That democrat party (or at least today) they still support because they believe what the media is selling them...

is not trying to build jobs. They are not trying to make the streets safer. They are not trying to make their life better. Those days are gone for democrats ...long gone

Going by what you say, it's easy to see why one party encourages the growth of wealth while the other encourages the growth of poverty. I'll take the growth of wealth every time.

Sorry, I have a hard time finding what's "right" or sane about a political theology that:

Fights for the murder of infants
Fights for the allowance of grown men pissing with little girls
Fights for open borders with zero controls on immigration
Fights to steal ever increasing amounts of my hard earned money
Fights to restrict your First Amendment rights
Fights to remove your Second Amendment rights
Fights to have the government control ever increasing portions of our lives
Fights to impose an economic system that would destroy this country

which is why the old adage, "people vote with their back pocket" is still a truism.....

Which has its roots in an even older truism - "Tyranny of the Majority". It's not a direct comparison with what we see today where very high percentages of inner city people are voting democrat because they are wanting access to better welfare benefits. However, it's a microcosm of the this tyranny in that people will vote to take from those who have IF it becomes possible to do so.

Lets get something correct.....

you would never be driving (or walking) around the middle of a intercity

Hey ace, I literally stopped reading your Todge Rodgian post at the bolded. I have walked and driven around the inner city, I have served in soup kitchens and helped transport people etc. So, nice job at sucking in your assessment of somebody you don't know. I will not read the rest of your post. I've also served people in Kenya in poverty stricken areas on my own accord. I don't say this to brag, but to say your assessment of what I have and haven't done is wrong.

If I'm in that condition, I want government programs and any government help I can get. To expect this person to vote for conservative republican is silly. This person should vote liberal democrat.

If Im an upper class educated man with a business, of course, I want conservative republicanism. To expect that man to vote liberal democratic is silly, nor should he vote that way.

I'm morally conservative. Agree on some of your posts. But Im socially all for helping those in need.

I am too, as long as it truly needed and not like I encountered every shift I worked at an engine company located firmly in the ghetto. There were plenty of people living on the government dole who lived better than we did.

No arguments from me in that Kaplony. I just don’t wanna throw the baby out with the bathwater.
