Curious where you're going with this. UC's kenpom (4) and Sagarin (5) are both better than wichita's best season during their recent decade run as a "national power"
Probably just soaking the bobber a bit to see what kind of nibbles they get.

WSU best season was #4 RPI and #98 SOS. At 33-0
Cincy was #2 RPI and #23 SOS in 2002
In 2000 they were #1 RPI and #5 SOS

I wonder if UC’s best team in decades will eclipse WSU’s peak AP ranking this year in a disappointing season.

RE: Bubble Watch
Had we played up to par this year we'd currently be on track to winning the conference (like the entire planet predicted we would).
I believe there's no question that Wichita State at its best effort beats Cincy at theirs. Few would argue that point. The proof is simply in the NCAA tournament pudding. But if Cincy puts out a more consistent effort in both games and wins, then they were the better team on that night; nothing more, nothing less.
Regardless... we'll get a chance to start settling things in another week.
Settling things is probably not the best word though. I'm still quite miffed over the "Shocker Slump" we've all witnessed this year. We pissed down the drain a golden opportunity to get a #1 seed and make a strong run for the championship.
Sweeping Cincy would be more like a consolation prize but nothing compared to at least getting another Sweet 16. Sweeping Cincy would just be for message board lolz.

Up to par? That’s illinois St for their best quality win for this crew.

RE: Bubble Watch
WSU has a back loaded schedule with games like Temple, @Cincy, @SMU, and Cincy at home still remaining. I'm curious to see how those games go for WSU.

I think they beat Temple, the SMU game depends on Milton's health because depth is a an issue. They lose at Cincy and it's a toss up at their place. Cincy loses either at Houston or at SMU or possibly both if Milton is playing. Rob has had a shooting slump going from the outside but the human highlight manbun will be looking to score a lot vs the Bearcats.

How about drunk and deluded from sooooooo much winning? Much less inflammatory.
There was a time when my expectations were measured, but the Shockers shot that all to hell by overachieving each and every time they stepped up to the plate. Now I find myself (pre-Houston loss) in a state of ultra-confidence having watched my team topple mountains like molehills since the turn of the decade.
Modern Cincy fan thinks my words are like those from a madman because they've experienced exactly the opposite having been humbled by molehills as if they were mountains over the last 20 years...

Cold, I'm going to be honest with you and maybe even paraphrase your own words from about a week or so ago. When I watched the Temple - Wichita game on TV, I did not see a final four team on the floor. Don't know how you looked when you played your best, but I think you might be over-estimating WS this year. Don't know how things with Cincy will turn out, and I'm not sure many people do. You could win both, you could lose both, or one of the teams could get outright embarrassed in one of those games. WS is one of the two AAC bids that are pretty much sure things. Let's see how all the games play out. Coming up on money time for everybody.
