Also try Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series. Fun, light reading.

I like this thread. What types of reading interest you? Narrow it down a bit and I am happy to make a recommendation or two.

During the summer time I usually read non-fiction and crime. I like things that go over the inner workings of a system. All the President's Men comes to mind.

Try The Mote in God's Eye and the sequel, The Gripping Hand, by Larry Niven. And Jerry Pournelle. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee plays a part in this novel as well.

It is, by far, the best coffee in the universe.

The Mote in God's Eye is a great book. Don't recall reading the sequel.

Just read the premise behind The Mote in God's Eye and it does sound really interesting. I'll have to pick it up sometime.

The sequel is better. Can't appreciate the sequel unless you've read the first.

That The Mote in God's Eye seems interesting. Might give it a try.

I'm so far behind on reading that I can't recommend anything but Gray Mountain by John Grisham. It was a quick read for me.

I'm in the "Killing" series by Bill O'Rielly.

Also got Glenn Beck's 'Immortal Nicholas' for Christmas, but haven't started it yet

Highly recommended! I've read it and did the audiobook as well. If you like this novel other stories like Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle can be well worth your time.

My wife is a tremendous horror fan. Turned me on to Junji Ito. Tomie is good stuff.

Greg Bear is a good author as well. Eon is great.
