That's a really nice OOC schedule. It would be great if at least one of those were at home.

1968 was the last year Ohio won the MAC in football. Roark still needs to improve in some areas such as reducing turnovers. He has two more years and should improve. Ohio has a sour taste in its mouth blowing the MAC East with a terrible game vs Akron. That will be a reminder all season not to take any game for granted. Ohio showed up in the bowl a very pissed off team. They should carry that over into next season.

I don't know. I always like it when MAC teams schedule to get a good home game and a couple winnable road games. Of course, the schedules are usually made several years in advance, but Ga Tech is a physical option team that will eat up a weak defense, which is BG's shortcoming. Oregon is too good and Maryland is a good matchup that could result in an upset but on the road, again (didn't BG beat them there a few years back?). So, on one level it does give them a couple of shots at middle of the pack P5 opponents which is sort of a sweet spot, but none at home, and BG is kinda down. Also, Maryland and Ga Tech are 2 of the weakest P5 fan bases so it won't exactly be like playing OSU or Arkansas or even Iowa State where the spirited fan base makes for a great atmosphere.

Miami goes from an OOC of Marshall/Austin Peay/UC/Notre Dame and West crossover games of EMU/CMU/Ball to Marshall/UC/Army/Minnesota with NIU/WMU/Ball. It's definitely more difficult overall but there's a chance to win some interesting games, like Dick said it's nut up or shut up time for Martin.

2019's Maryland @ BG is the middle game of a 2 for 1. Their current coach is a former BG football player. And yes BG pounded Maryland a few years ago 48-27 after being down 13-6 at half.
