Scooty was getting blown by . He is quick but he was getting schooled by their point guard.

On the positive side, I liked seeing the majorettes at halftime. Need them performing more often.

For whatever reason, Ehsan doesn’t instill the passion and aggression this team needs. I’ve seen glimpses of a great team when they play aggressively but those plays are few and far between. And actually seem to be decreasing in number. It’s as though the team already gave up on the year.

I’m hoping for a win of any sort against Rice. That’s a sad statement given where I expect this program to be and the fact we are playing at home.

But next year will be better when we get rid of the 2 all conference seniors.

LOL

Actually, one probably won't make even 3rd team this year because he has regressed.

Lets count the coaches that are better than Rob.

MTSU
WKU
ODU
UNT
UTSA
Marshall
La Tech

So, at best, he is 8th in the conference. 2 are interim's and 2 more will likely be fired by year end.

But we have him for 2 more years regardless.

We have to hope he improves. And that seems nearly impossible when Coke departs. We should be able to get a juco who can replace Lees 9.5 ppg and 6 rpg.

Gueye has had 2 blocks all year. So he is not going to be a rim protector.

His 3 point % is 18.8% if you remove the 2 for 2 in his first game.

And we have fans that think he should play more. SMH.

He should have redshirted.

I'd be absolutely flabbergasted if we are better next year than we are this year. This may be the high water mark of the Ehsan experience.

I can see him scheduling down too. If that's even possible.

We are currently tied for 7th which is 3 spots below what I considered our worst case scenario. I thought we would be 2nd with a chance at first but no worse than 4th. And some call me "negative".

If we rewind a couple of years ago, we were coming off our best year in a long time, we had 3 all conference players. It was reasonable to want to keep the players and whenever you change head coaches you usually lose players.

So I can understand why he got the job. And there were no names mentioned that we clearly better choices.

Scarbo was trying to force feed the guy from Auburn who is facing felony charge. That was just absurd to even consider him and he should not have even gotten an interview.

I guess we could have hired CB McGrath but I wasn't overly thrilled with the Haase era. He had a good couple of weeks after a decent year and a good year out of 4.

But, Hindsight is 20/20.

Andy Kennedy may be looking for a job around the same time Ehsan is let go in 2 more years. (assuming he does not show great improvement the next 2 years) Not sure how I would feel about that. I like Andy but he would be a retread.

I have to think football did not help basketball any.

But when all the good teams left CUSA, I thought we were in a position to immediately show our dominance. That was a pipe dream.

For long time fans, it's truly depressing how far our program has fallen. I'm tired of mediocrity.

Ehsan has too much of trying to be the players' friend. I want to pull my hair out when he's just calmly pacing the sidelines with his arms crossed when the play is this bad. Then in timeouts he just talks to them like it's a casual conversation in June. Show some passion! Get angry! Light into the players during timeouts when the effort is poor! All it took was #20 from UNT getting beat by Lavender on one drive for their coach to call a timeout and meet him out at the free throw line getting on his case.

SMDH. We are 15-10. Step back from the ledge or take one step forward, but damn, please make this board readable again.

Definitely looked like they had dead legs in first half....

This is the perfect example of why Ehsan is not a very good basketball coach .. running "boot camp" like practices the 2nd week of February .. This is the time of the season you need to do everything you can to keep the team fresh .. Bryant looks as if he has hit the wall the last couple of games .. Unless things turn around, it looks like a very short stay in Frisco in March.

Exactly. Running a bootcamp in February is idiotic.

We're 7th in a mediocre to bad conference and have played a very weak schedule overall. What planet do you live on?

Take away the 2 exhibition games. A win over 2-22 aamu & 2-22 MVSU.
That puts us at 11-10
We are on our way to finishing at/or a game or two above .500 at the end of the regular season in 5 of the last 7 seasons. What the heck has everybody been paying attention to? This program is dying. Wake up everybody.

Records at end of reg season:
2011-12 season: 14-15
12-13 season: 15-16
14-15 season: 16-15
16-17 season: 16-15

Rob needs an experienced bench coach to help him and instill toughness on D. Somebody like James Green or Donny Marsh

I've seen similar ideas like this before on here. "Ehsan needs a mentor on the bench with him" etc. is another one. I have an idea. If our head coach needs an enforcer/ mentor on the bench with him, fire Ehsan and hire the enforcer/mentor. If we have a HC that needs a babysitter on the bench, we don't need him as a head coach.

RE: North Texas Game thread
15-10 doesn't mean anything. With a few more D-III teams on the schedule we could have a few more wins. The schedule sucked, it didn't prepare this team for conference and its showing. And as far as letting fans jump... according to the number of us that showed up last night... they are, yet you still complain about the ones that jumped not showing up.

I AM NOT in favor of firing Ehsan, however, someone needs to hold his feet to the fire and force him to schedule better. GO ON THE ROAD if it takes that... We had 2 road games. There are many P5 schools who had just as many or more road games as UAB in non-conference.
