RE: North Texas Game thread
That missed three by lee could have won it for us. The crowd and our team got deflated when he missed.

Cold reality is we are a .500 conference team despite top 3 talent.

They are far from being defensive stoppers to begin with and when you add tired legs to the mix our defense becomes a bunch of orange cones. Scooty, as good has he has been, is a freshman and has hit the wall due to too many minutes and his already bad shot selection and decision making has become an abomination. Too late to get the horse back in the barn now. Finally we have too many wanna be 3 point shooters. There is no depth to our game at all if Coke can't provide an alternative to the barrage of three pointers taken. At this point in the season, there is so much film on us, everyone is going to start playing us this way. Let them shoot the three with a hand in their face and limit them to one shot because Coke is the only one that's going to rebound.

I don't buy the tired legs argument at all. These are kids. They bounce back very quickly. We go 8-9 deep every night too.

You don't buy tickets either, so who cares what you think.

Couldn't hit the big shots we needed at the end.

The game was ours for the taking, but 3-25 from three killed us.

Bryant continues to force things.

6 turnovers, 0-4 from 3. He only needs to be taking 1-2 threes a game.

Ehsan is not a top 7 CUSA coach.

Should not be shooting that many.

Oh, and UNT played SEVEN guys tonight. Guess their legs are not tired.

Truly, I was not trying to sell you anything but when you take a team that is defensively challenged to begin with, add a bad scheme and throw in tired legs, you get orange cones... Gold cones in this case I guess.

It's one thing to play seven guys when that's all you have, it's another to play seven because you have no clue about your personell!

shooting 26%, 13% from 3.

Unbelievable...I remember thinking that we were going to really be in for a treat this season back when we beat Iowa St. Dare I say, I envisioned us being a Sweet 16 squad again...or better.

That's the level this squad should have realistically been competing for, but the reality is they've fallen off a cliff since the CUSA tournament when the core group were sophomores. There were even signs when they were winning all those games that they weren't as good as they should've been.

I didn't think Haase was a particularly great coach. I don't think Ehsan is even on his level and isn't a very good coach at all.

The program is in a pretty bad place right now.

Coach said that the team did a “Boot Camp” all week running suicides until they almost threw up.

That was a tough game to sit through especially the first half. We seemed to be shooting well in warmups but not so much after that. About the only place we shot the ball well was FT line & that's not saying much.

RE: North Texas Game thread
These players are not an embarrassment but this team sure is. And that fault lies with Ehsan. This team has FAR too much talent to lose to the teams we are losing to. At home no less.

For whatever reason, Ehsan doesn’t instill the passion and aggression this team needs. I’ve seen glimpses of a great team when they play aggressively but those plays are few and far between. And actually seem to be decreasing in number. It’s as though the team already gave up on the year.

I’m hoping for a win of any sort against Rice. That’s a sad statement given where I expect this program to be and the fact we are playing at home.

But wait, some guy who has never coached in his life said they were tired.

LOL

If they did suicides last week, they need to do some more tonight as a penalty for playing like crap.

Perry is the only one that played worth a crap.

Gene would have put in five new guys at about the 18:00 mark, even if he had to send in a Golden Girl and a manager.
