The final straw
Chris Wallace has to go. There isn't one single logical explanation to keep Tyreke Evans. Had weeks to get a deal done and came away with nothing. Zero downside to moving him and we keep him? Inexcusable.

This is the straw that breaks the camel's back. He must go!!

Best move he never made.

Finally kept the good player.

Now, figure out how to keep him for next year.

You clearly don't understand how much worse this is for the future of the Franchise.

I am hoping and starting to think that by next July we will see that Jamammy was right.

I think the Grizz FO thinks they can keep Tyreke on a multi-year MLE offer. If so, that's worth more that Yabusele and late-round 2nd round draft picks.

Ok still could've have traded him got that and still used the MLE to try and bring him back.

This whole thing didn't need to be about getting back much, it needed to be about the draft this year. Evans was the only player that could mess that up and Wallace and co. couldn't even do this part right.

I know that. But maybe, just like Lou Williams with the Clips yesterday, Tyreke is telling the Grizz FO that he is tired of being traded, tired of moving his family. Be fair with me, and in July I'll be fair with you. It's possible.

Then if he told him that then you let him play period end of story. You don't sit him, make him go back to the team hotel and back home, tell him will be traded to a playoff team, and then don't trade him at all.

They did him wrong with that.

Team chemistry is already thin and they pull this stunt.

There is no positive with not trading Evans.

If teams weren't willing to pay the 1st round price, I don't mind the no-trade. Screw Boston if they couldn't at least give our pick back.

Why gift someone Tyreke for a garbage second rounder? Keep the Memphis son on the team and reminisce of Sweet 16s.

We can lose without him, we can lose with him.

Casual reminder, we were the #1 ranked franchise when Chris Wallace was sitting on his ass collecting a check.

SMH this logic is why Grizzlies are in the situation they are in.

Why is it so hard to grasp that Grizz could've traded Tyreke and still offered what they are going to offer him anyways.

Nobody was going to give up a 1st round pick for 3 month rental. Grizz were crazy if they thought that's what they were getting.

You hold firm to that at first, but at the end you take the best available offer and Boston presented a good offer.

We get that, I posted it earlier in the week. Doesn't mean the Grizz don't have an advantage by keeping him, if other teams also offer the MLE this summer.

Maybe he is tired of moving to different teams? Maybe he likes J.B and his Grizz teammates? Maybe we trade him to Philly, he loves it there, Philly and Memphis offer the MLE, and Tyreke chooses Philly. There are considerations besides the offer, as Lou Williams proved yesterday.

Ok so what he does that. You still got some good 2nd round picks and you get in the top 5 of this years draft.

This whole thing was about building for the future. The draft class this year within in the top 5 is extremely good. Anything outside of that is a coin flip.

You take the 2nd round picks maybe use them in future trades and you take your top 5 pick.

All the other teams that are vying for the top 5 did what was necessary. While the Grizz just sat there

Reke is going to help us win 33 games and then leave to the highest bidder. This is about as stupid as stupid gets

That's not what me, Marc Gasol, Mike Conley, and Chris Wallace thought tho.

Y'all keep explaining to me how smart you are and I will keep explaining how right I am.

Geniuses, I tell you.

Geniuses.
