RE: McDaniels Dropped By Agent
Obviously McDaniels burned a lot of bridges and this move will reinforce the feeling that many have, that he is someone you don't want to have on your team. (The agent also happens to be the agent for the Colts GM, so he had multiple reasons for cutting ties with McD.)

OTOH, McDaniels should never have gone that far with the Colts in the first place. The owner is an idiot and it looks like Luck might never be an elite QB again. Taking that job and failing to win there, given that he already got fired from one head coaching job, would have been just as much of an end to his head coaching career as the poor way he handled this situation.

Only HC job he will ever get is if he is hired in New England.

True. McDaniels left the Colts waiting until after the Super Bowl, and then embarrassed them and left them scrambling. The Colts GM won't recover from this fiasco unless the coach he hires now is a big success in Indy.

No one in the NFL is going to forget that, and no owner or GM (other than Kraft) will give McD the chance to do the same to them.
