The ONLY FBS football school that isn't a military academy or member of the ACC/Big Ten (money no object) that also sponsors lacrosse is UMASS.

Strange, considering the AAC is launching the sport next season.

Sounds pricey. Not saying the endowment wouldn't be nice. ECU will be using the soccer field, which is available in the spring. The cost for women's lacrosse was given as about $500k annually.

Yea, I know. That's the point. The entire discussion kicked off from this quote:

I don't really know of any other schools located in fertile recruiting grounds. I know it's mainly big out east and uer Midwest. Looks like a power House league though. Very similar to AAC baseball.

They want to make sure all new sports are endowed so that they won't take away funds from existing sports

To call that a misappropriation of funds would be the understatement of the century.

Not sure what was going on but I was asking about women's lacrosse and if either of our Florida conference mates would be starting a team.

And even then the fan base bitched and moaned about it.

Too hard to read much into game 1 of the inaugural game of the program on a sucky weather day to boot.

Congratulations ladies on getting the first game under your belt.
This team is young, 23 freshmen, 2 sophomores, 1 junior, 1 senior.

Yeah anyone expecting much is going to be disappointed. Luckily we don’t have conference games until next season when those freshmen are a year older.

I had a feeling game 1 would be a mess. The problem is that the team is a bit of a smokeshow. Need more scary chicks.

Need less this:

And more this:
