I see we offered a Jevan Swanigan, 5'10"", 165 lb RB from Detroit

Other offers include Norfolk State, Seton Hall, Urbana U.

Got to admit I don't understand this one. We seem to be loaded at running back and this kid is hardly D1 material. Why offer? What's the up side? How does a kid like this improve our team and class ranking?

Some one with some insight please explain.

Most of it are kick returns. He lists himself as a RB but I think the almost 5 minute video only showed two runs.

His tape as a returner was impressive. The video shows a strong ability to create space.

He also caught several balls in the video. I could see him as a returner/ slot receiver at ODU. Get him the ball quickly and let him generate yards on his own.

But do you offer a scholly to a D-II punt returner?

That's also the feeling I had after watching his video. I believe we could always use another Antonio Vaughan or Nick Mayers! Also, if I remember correctly, he lists himself as athlete on the actual video, not RB.

We aren't the only D1 team to offer. So, I don't know why you are calling him a D2 punt returner.

And while we were first to offer, that doesn't mean we will be the last FBS offer he receives. If he has this same list of offers come signing day, feel free to question it. But it's too early in the period to get bent out of shape about an offer list.

Can you provide us with your in depth scouting report or are you just posting this nonsense based on nothing but a list of offers well before the signing period?
