'To Nancy Pelosi, My Entire Yearly Income Would Be Crumbs'
Quote:President Donald Trump promised working Americans would see bigger paychecks after the passing of the Republican tax overhaul, and that's beginning to happen across the country.
Connecticut couple Lee and Shirleyann Duprey appeared on "Fox & Friends" on Sunday morning to share how the tax cuts have helped them.
Lee explained that their finances were tight because they live in a higher-tax state, and they are still paying medical bills after his recent cancer surgery.
"Every little bit makes a huge difference," he said, revealing that he essentially got a "raise" of $50 per week with the tax cuts.
Although House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) infamously characterized the tax cut savings as "crumbs," Shirleyann said she's happy to see any increase in her husband's paychecks.
"I said, 'Thanks, Trump, and thanks, Republicans,'" she said. "We'll take it."
Pelosi, who is one of the wealthiest members of Congress, was widely mocked for the "crumbs" comment.
"To Nancy Pelosi, my entire yearly income would probably be 'crumbs,'" Lee remarked. "Literally, every dollar helps. It makes a big difference."

The good old propagnda arm of the GOP. Fox News...... trumpeting the tax cuts................
Meanwhile our deficit is exploding...... wonder if Fox News will cover the deficit with equal vigor as the treated it under Obama. If not, why? Is this news station going from informing the public into pushing an agenda? Can you consider them news if so?

If our deficit is truly exploding now, then it was going to explode with or without the tax cuts. Somewhere between 80-90% of any deficits over the next ten years were baked in before the tax cuts.
