Tribe wins the first game of a doubleheader against High Point on a fluke wind-aided error in the 12th inning. Bases were loaded with two outs and the Tribe skied a pop up to short left. The runners were going and when the OF dropped the ball, the Tribe scored 2 runs to take the 4-3 victory.

We gave away two wins to Clemson/Virginia so it is good to get one of them back (although not all wins are created equal, but we will take them where we can get them).

Well the second one didn't go so well. We lost 17-3. We gave up 13 hits and 9 walks. Team batting average is now at .187. We need to pick it up.

Today's game much better...12-3 victory with 14 hits and solid pitching to win series.

Tribe hitting through 13 games is an anemic .207 with just three home runs, Our batters have struck out 125 times in the 13 games, just under ten times a game. Not good. And other than Clemson and UVA we haven't been playing powerhouse college teams.

Pitching era is 4.43, not bad for college baseball...but in 13 games our guys have thrown 16 wild pitches and hit 18 batters, abnormally very high numbers and these have killed them in key spots in many of these one-run losses.

And does anyone know what has sidelined our pre-season All-CAA player, Brandon Racquet? He hasn't played since the first week and he is our best hitter. He's listed on our roster so I'm assumng it is some kind of illness or injury, but nothing on the Tribe web pages about him.

He went hitless as a pinch hitter against UVA and he went 0-5 in the first game against High Point. He is probably nursing some nagging injury that is affecting his hitting.

We've given up 18 unearned runs and have 19 errors in 13 games. This team could easily be .500 without all of the sloppy play. We could also be sitting at 2 wins if not for a wind blown fly ball error by High Point

Hunter Smith with the game winning RBI double in the bottom of the 10th, 3-2. Team must have really felt this win emotionally, as the whole dugout collectively stormed Hunter at 2nd base and stayed out there, as if they had just won the tournament. No doubt this team needs some joy after all of the close, one run losses. Good to see.

Best win of the season...team finally showed some power with two homeruns (up to yesterday had only three all season) and got very strong, clutch pitching for the second day in a row. Perhaps this win will propel them
into a solid winning streak.

I saw some of the game yesterday; Campbell has a nice multi-camera setup for their video broadcast. The first game (1pm) of today’s doubleheader will have a video broadcast but the second game will just be audio.

Another quality win with very good pitching and clutch hitting.

Total pitching collapse today, giving up 12 earned runs on 19 hits. 12-0 into the 9th.

Agree 100%, new hat logo is bad. I think the cypher would look good as the primary lid logo.

I'm a big fan of the cypher, but on a hat it would probably not have the definition it needs. It would probably end up looking a little like a flying spaghetti monster.
