2-9. A game and a half behind Monroe.

11th place or bust!

I am pulling hard for a 10th or 11th place finish, which will have us playing either 5pm or 730pm on Wednesday, which will make my travel plans a lot easier (won't have to leave on Tuesday and pay for another night's hotel). It also would get us out of ULL's bracket, although 11th would put us in GaState's bracket which doesn't look much better at the moment. I now believe ULL and GaSt are well above everyone else, especially us. Based on how we have played against everyone else, and the fact that USA and Troy are only 4-6, I still think we "could" beat anyone, on a neutral court, on a given night.

However, I guess we have to win another game before I give any realistic thought to moving up in the standings. Obviously, we will have to beat ULM to have any chance to pass them, but I'm not sure we can beat them in Monroe.

RE: All alone in last
I wasn't expecting us to be world beaters, this season, but I was hoping we could be around .500. Obviously, we will be nowhere close. Losing DeAndre Burns (our leading returning scorer) hurt- I doubt we would have been .500 with him, but we have lost a number of close games in which he could have made the difference. At this point, I'm just hoping that last night's game was the low point of the season, and we can win a couple of games to give fans some hope for next season.

I hope Wes blows the hinges off the door from here on out, but I have not seen anything yet to make me expect it.

Burns may not be back. We could have won several games without him if we had made free throws.

Do you mean next season? I wasn't sure if he's been on he bench or not the last couple of games.

He has been on the bench taking his medical redshirt. Sure hope he’s back with the team next season. Believe he is back to practice but want play this season.

One of the great mysteries of basketball is why certain teams cannot shoot FTs. And that is even when they have a lot of great shooters on the team. Of course, I guess the team FT% at Kansas was not too good during the 1950s . . .

Kansas is just below 70% this year. Really don't know how that stacks up nationally, but I'm sure Coach Self is not thrilled with that.

Of course, the Jayhawkers do not have Wilt clunking them off the rim this year, dragging down their average.

I already switched back to my TU license plate. That was long overdue.
