Not that it matters much, but wouldn't Akron be 10 and Ohio 11? Split head to head, but Akron's highest win (BG) is seeded higher than Ohio's (EMU).

What's the tie-breaker after head to head?

RE: MAC Basketball Week 5 (2/6-2/10)
Nice 19 point win for the Cards over Kent tonight. Trey and Tahjai tore it up inside, with a combined 44 points on 17-22 shooting, along with 9 assists and 19 rebounds. The best they have played together this year. Add to that nearly 60% shooting from the field overall, 50 points in the paint, and contributions from Sellers, Persons and Thompson, and it was definitely the most complete game the Cards have played since the loss of two key players sent them into a bit of disarray.

Though this season hasn't been as successful as we had hoped, it isn't a bad series of events to break the much-too-long run of futility against the East teams:
Ohio: first win since 2011
Kent: first win since 2005
Akron: first win since 2004

EMU too. EMU beat Kent State in Kent for the 1st time since 1998 (the Boykins-Dial era). Also beat Akron and won @Miami.

Got some monkeys off our backs...

If the teams are tied for the division championship, the second tie breaker is record vs their division. If they are not tied for the division lead, it moves on to winning percentage against teams from the top seed down.

Not that last night was raucous by any means, but it might as well been the Cameron Crazies compared to what it's been since a couple of years before Coles retired. Gonna take some time to recover, though at least the team is probably the most improved in the MAC this season.. Was a good game though, Toledo is really solid.

Wally did a great broadcast. Looked like a fun game for the fans. Neither team shot well in the first half. Knapke's blocks down low were the key to success. I can't wait to watch your freshman pg grow. Actually I can ha. Miami will be the team to beat in 2 seasons (after UB graduates some guys).

They would also secure a bye to Cleveland with a win... UB still will be locked in a dog fight with Toledo though for #1 seed and regular season title.

Yea if Toledo up and wins the regular season title our FT shooting vs NIU will be a real sour point.

Big win for UB 95-82 over a very solid Bowling Green team. Buffalo captures MAC East Title and a bye to Cleveland

I'm not generally a "blame the officials" guy, and my team is up 18 right now so I shouldn't have a lot to complain about, but these officials in the UT/BSU game are terrible... Taking both teams totally out of their games. Just stupid ticky-tack stuff being called all over the place. Both coaches are thoroughly exasperated. Hey, stripes... it's not about you. Let the teams play...

Correction: When one particular fan who only posts on this board to whine about the officials, he gets mocked.

And he's such a great UB fan, he made his handle about Syracuse and the Big East!

Part of the problem I think is these officials are overworked. I was watching the Miami-Ohio game today and saw one of the officials who did last night’s Buffalo game. I can’t imagine that guy got much rest from last night and had to travel to athens for. 3:30 game today.

The officiating was not good. 3 players fouled out. Ball State had 2 guys with 4 fouls and Toledo had 1. It seemed like they would make a bad call and then try to make up for that call with another bad call. Took away any flow of the game.

46 fouls total (which was not that many more than Akron - Kent)

The difference might be that I said the officials were terrible in general, calling bad calls against both teams, whereas that particular Bull poster generally contends that the entire MAC power structure is set up to intentionally call the game one-sided in an effort to stymie the all powerful Bulls from the glory they rightfully deserve. So there's that... 03-wink
