Fixed it for you.

But seriously, Parrish is not going to come out nationally with this kind of thing unless he feels he is on the winning side of the argument and I mean this year.

Any other program, and I agree with you.

But with Memphis, Parrish always reserves the right to fully air his feelings.

GP is a fellow alum. Good for him for being pissed. Good for him for making it far enough in his career to have a voice heard by many. He's only pointing out the obvious. Tubby is AWEFUL. If you can't see that, you don't know basketball. Tubby is EXCELLENT at a small part of the job. He really can teach basketball. He really is a decent person. Not a great person like some try to say. What great human says "I wish he'd drown" to a person because that person made their job difficult? This makes him qualified to be a HS coach.

Why not?

It has happened two times in your lifetime.

What is not going to happen is the 2008 season every 4 years.

In 1973 We went to the championship game
In 1982 we went to the sweet 16
In 1984 we went to the sweet 16
In 1985 we went to the final four
In 1992 We went to the elite 8
In 1995 we went to the sweet 16
In 2006, we went to the elite 8
In 2007 we went to the elite 8
In 2008 We went to the Championship Game
In 2009 we went to the sweet 16

If somehow we don't make the sweet 16 this year, the For 10 years we have not made the sweet 16 - the longest drought in the modern era.

Just eff it. That's kinda where I'm at now.

Basketball is such a ******* mess.

4th year of this bull****; wrong guy hired to follow X followed by the wrong guy hired to follow Opie.

Probably stuck with Cliff Huxtable for another year then the 'braintrust' will make a move.

That'll be five years

Then 3 more to fix IF they get the hire right.

Seriously, just eff it.

One issue is after Tubby it will be harder to entice a coach to come here...

After Opie at least he had some players even if he couldn't do anything with them.

After Tubby we likely will have nothing coming back.

It depends on when they fire him. Players might stay if Tubby is not there.

This team has peaked in practically all ways.

But I done told y'all about two weeks ago that we were coached up as far as we could go..and we were just in a holding pattern, till the collapse started.

Now the truth is, we could win more games if we played tough and hard.
But I dunno if any of those players are going to want to play for Tubby. at. all.

He just created the psychological problems with his comment.

Just like he did with the Memphis can't get good recruits comment.

Self-fulfilling prophecies are a b!tch.

It won't be harder at all. We will either get a great coach with experience and a good track record who knows that you can win right away, or a young hotshot assistant, or mid major coach who knows that it is easy to recruit here and be a hero.

After Tubby gets done this year, next year, or two years from now there will be ZERO and I mean ZERO players here. The next coach may as well be taking over after the death penalty. It'll be much worse than what Larry Brown had to walk into at SMU.

Memphis basketball is DEAD.
