A kid putting education in front of the glory of "big time" college football:

A high school recruit turning down a scholarship offer from Nick Saban is not too common, but what’s even more uncommon is one choosing to attend an Ivy League school over Alabama. But that’s what’s happening with Brevin White.

White, a four-star quarterback recruit out of Lancaster, Calif., says he is sticking with his commitment to Princeton over an offer from Alabama.
“I just wanted to stick with my heart,” White told CBS Sports. “I wanted to lay out whats important to me and what school offers me the best opportunity to achieve goals on an off field. Alabama is a great school and a great opportunity, but Princeton checks more boxes.”
White passed for 54 touchdowns and 3,931 yards last season at Paraclete High School, according to his MaxPreps profile. He has been committed to Princeton since July, but things changed after Alabama offered him a scholarship in late January. He took an official visit to Tuscaloosa, but decided he wants to go to Princeton because of what they offer him in case the NFL doesn’t work out.
White initially chose Princeton over schools like Washington, Arizona State, Boise State, Oregon State, Washington State, Utah and Tennessee. His brother, Brady, was a top high school QB who went to ASU before transferring to Memphis.
