Winning two of three at Arkansas would have been quite the resume entry. Oh well, guess the SEC umps weren't about to let that happen so let's cash our check and be happy with one one.

Now, just don't lose to YSU.

There were questionabke calls both ways but without replay nothing can fix that. I also feel I jinxed the team yesterday so I will no longer post score updates.

The Golden Flashes currently have an RPI of 15 (impressive). The Catamounts are currently 1-15 with an RPI of 251. Ball State swept them earlier this year.

Need to focus & take of business this weekend.

Well we just basically threw that win over Arkansas out the window by losing maybe the worst game over the last six years. Kent got blown off the field by a 1-17 WCU team which had lost 14 games in a row. We made three errors and starting pitching continues to be a concern.

First four home games this week, Tuesday and Friday-Sunday.

We should've lost all 3 games this weekend. It was late game heroics that won both of them. From reading the Catamounts board they seem to be working on the lineup and may have finally found what works for them. Plus this was the 5th straight weekend on the road which has to take a toll on the team. Looking at the schedule the team is going to miss out on spring break this year as well. They play 8 games in 10 days starting this Friday with 5 of those coming during the break. It will be an interesting couple weeks for this team coming up.

2 good wins @ WMU yesterday with a lot of KSU newcomers contributing in both games. Should have won both in South Bend IN vs the Fighting Irish, but took a split. As Ty Linder mentioned during yesterday’s broadcast, KSU Baseball has 5 legitimate starters with Kraus, Murray, Skolnicki, Wollersheim, Ryan, and a nice bullpen with Spangler, Romel, Havekost, Zeigler, Drabick, & Matthews.

Hopefully KSU can get the series sweep in Kalamazoo MI.

Well we came into the weekend vs. OU having won eight in a row and we were starting to look like the Flashes of old. Then we melted down in the late innings in all three games and lost two to an under .500 team missing two of its starting pitchers. A lot more of the same issues plaguing this program over the last few years: bad defense, bad base-running, bullpen problems and inconsistent at-bats.

Hopefully a blip in the road...

OU owns us. Just look at the MAC-T from last year.

Last year’s OU team was good. This one isn’t.

I remember a time when no one owned us.

I was looking at the MAC standings and noticed that CMU had a tie. I didn't know a tie was possible in baseball. Apparently the game went into extra innings and CMU had to leave in order to make it in time for their flight home.

KSU swept Toledo with former Coach Rick Rembeliak in attendance to watch Mason Mamorella.

If KSU can get Havekost & Ziegler healthy and back to their early season form, this team will be just fine in MAC Tourney and post season play.

Current projections have us against the. (Georgia) Stricklin Bulldogs. That would be fun!

Pitching staff combines for KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK (19) as KSU wins their 30th game for 20 straight years.

Going into today Murray was sitting at #3 in ERA among pitchers over 60 IP. He is behind John Rooney from Hofstra at 0.85, Nick Sandlin from Southern Mississippi at 1.00, Murray was at 1.12. All three pitched today, Sandlin went 7 runless innings, Rooney pitched 7 innings giving up 2 runs and Murray pitched 7 scoreless innings. It is going to be a tight race over the next couple of weeks for that #1 spot.
