MTSU 41,23

UAB 97,142
Marshall 133,114
Tech 139,136
UTSA 177,211

Interesting that Kenpom sees us as 4th. I sure hope we can get the bye.
realtimerpis power rankings has us 6th.

Hopefully gorilla will post kenpoms predictions for CUSA records for the top 7 teams.

If we split with Marshall and we end up in a tie for 4th, what is the tiebreaker?

Wow. That makes me feel better. I think we can go 11/7 but I was not sure we would get the 4 seed with that.

Rankings should improve as we play the top 4 teams ahead of us...

The rankings don't matter to us, but a 4 seed does. To everyone except Dee who wants to play 11 guys. Nevermind that WKU beat two top 50 teams with 7 guys.

Lol

Yep should play all your cards. I think Hurtado can play 30 mins and average 8 points and 5 assist. We need the bye hopefully the team we play won't be hot from the game before.

Other predictive rankings:

RPI Forecast:

1) MT 16-2
2) WKU 15-3
3) ODU 14-4
4) UAB 11-7
5) Marshall 10-8
5) La Tech 10-8
7) UTSA 9-9
7) North Texas 9-9

Warren Nolan:

1) MT 16-1 (algorithm must be messed up because it's only counting 17 games)
2) WKU 14-3
3) ODU 13-4
4) UAB 11-6
5) La Tech 10-7
5) UTSA 10-7
7) Marshall 9-8

MT is predicted to have a finishing RPI of 15-20. They should be as close to a lock for an at-large as you can be in this league.

Thanks for that. I thought the UTSA loss had killed our chances for the 4 seed.

Of course, I still think a 4 seed is important as well as winning games and not playing subpar bench players instead of guys in the top 8.

Best case scenario for the conference is WKU wins the conference, and they might, MTSU gets the auto NIT and we win the cusa tournament. But, I am cognizant that there is no real home court advantage in the tournament and the chances of a 4 seed winning it are low.

But despite that, you don't sit Cokely & Lee to play a guy who appears to have been a recruiting mistake or a practice player. Or the other guy who has upside but realistically is a year away from deserving even 15 minutes a game.
