Meanwhile, back in the real world...

Quote:WASHINGTON—U.S. hiring was solid in January as the unemployment rate hovered at its lowest level in 17 years and wage growth picked up to its strongest pace since the recession.

It was evidence the U.S. economy started 2018 with healthy momentum, and that the tightening labor market may be finally producing notably larger pay raises for American workers.

Nonfarm payrolls rose a seasonally adjusted 200,000 in January, the Labor Department said Friday. The unemployment rate held steady at 4.1%, its lowest level since December 2000, for the fourth straight month.

Wage growth accelerated, with average hourly earnings for private-sector workers climbing 0.34% on the month and up 2.9% over the past year. That was the strongest year-over-year gain since June 2009.

One of the big questions about the Trump economy was whether wage growth would come back. Based on the January numbers, things look really good on that front. As the weather warms, the economy should get even stronger. If the economy remains solid to strong into October, the Dems will not pick up any seats, and IMHO it's quite possible they lose some given you want to put your money on the winning horse. From an economics standpoint, the GOP is the winning horse.

That's what's great about the Nune's memo.

Drowns out this stuff. Trump can't get out of his own way. His message always gets cluttered in his reality show life........

Hahaha. It's the economy, stupid (Carville). It always was, always is and always will be. Everything else is political theater and - IMHO - people will be so sick and tired of seeing it that they will be ready to move on and will expect to see the parties work together.

Not quite, I know you libs aren't in touch with reality but about 85% of the country prob doesn't really care anything about the fake Russian story you guys push or this Nunes memo.

They only care that the economy is growing, taxes are going down, paychecks are getting bigger, people who couldn't find jobs before are beginning to get work, major companies are coming back to the country and making YUUGE investments.

That's the problem with you sheep, you can't see past what CNN and MSNBC tells you. Meanwhile the real heart of America is getting back to work, taking home more pay and giving less to the government to waste.
