RE: POTUS'S APPROVAL RATING UP TO 49%
So over half the country still don't approve of him and that's a good thing?

Additionally, this is by far the most slanted poll in trump's favor. So, it's what's normally called an outlier.

Gallup Weekly: Trump Job Approval - 38%

GOP'ers, Indy's all liked his SOTU address. Dems, eh. But definitely more Dems liked it than the show in the chamber.

Keep the economy humming, deliver on promises, make America first... if the GOP continues this then the Dems won't have anything to offer the people.

Just wait until shutdown schumer shuts down the government again because illegal aliens mean more to him and the democratic party than the safety of American citizens, the military, and giving children health care.

RE: POTUS'S APPROVAL RATING UP TO 49%
The fact 49% people approve of trump blows my mind... I like a lot of what he has done and *I* would have trouble saying strongly approve. In reality 49% of people saying "I approve" means big trouble for the dems in 2018 mid terms. What looked like a blue wave, then a blue splash, may end up being the blue tide going out...

I agree that Rasmussen tends to be an outlier. Based on the most recent polls in the link, I'd say Trump's recent mean approval is around 44%. The Gallup poll is dated and I think you'll see a little stronger support as more of the SOTU address seems to have given a bounce from earlier polls.

Today's January jobs report was solid and wage growth seems to be accelerating. This has the makings of positive momentum into the coming months. If people seem happy with the economy in the coming months, Trump will be over 50% approval by April.

Gallup started in January releasing their poll on a weekly basis instead of daily. It's as of 1/28, so not even a week old. It can't be off by much.

Gallup appears to be an outlier and it appears to be from before the SOTU.

Honestly—44% is amazing given the media onslaught he faces daily. Truth be told, I bet 44% approval is probably at or below his polling when he beat Hillary. The major polls all vastly overweight the democrat vote in thier samples. It’s why they keep missing the mark. Democrats often make up as much as 2/3rds of the survey sample.

RE: POTUS'S APPROVAL RATING UP TO 49%
In todays world of people getting almost everything they know from headlines and sound bites and with that the large majority been against this President months before he was even elected.....

44% would be considered great

Lets face it there's a limited number of people like those that fight it out on message boards. I would say at least most of those try to take in a lot of information. Now how we view that might be different but at least most look past the headline or sound bites. But my guess, that only makes up 20% at best. Then you get those twitter people that live with the headlines and not the text of a story and most of the time there's a huge difference between whats in bold and the meat and potatoes. My guess that makes up about 50% of the most outrageous, uninformed people on this planet...both sides. And then you have those that still believe the nightly news they grew up on is still honest and not taken sides...about 30%

So with 50% of the people basically idiots that only follow headlines....44% is more than I expect and if it ever gets over 50% Trump is doing a helluva job for this country.

Something else I believe....the true numbers of those that will base their vote on identity (immigration, PC, LGBTAXT (i honestly dont know the letters) and other fringe politics is as low today as it was 20 years ago. It might factor in but on the low low low end of deciding which leveler to pull. If you paid attention to social media and those on the left in Congress....

you would think that is a game changer

It's not and if the leaders of the democrat party doesn't wise up to that and get back to a party of the working man/family...it's doomed. The farther left they move the more people who actual vote they push away.

My opinion of DJT has not changed from when he announced his run to the WH. He is a giant Ray Watts, bully and ignoramus. He is however what America needed despite all of his numerous short comings and constant dick measuring. Im actually enjoying him torment Liberals even though I loath his ass.

Well, ok, yeah. You're technically right.

I meant it in a more of a "Americans will see through anything they say" way.
