Maybe they should get a new logo with a UC administrator bent over and a member of the Lindner family standing behind them...
Saying "Another Notch on my belt!"

I think they should combine the two and go with a triangle notches.

They're waiting on the resurrection of the Cincinnati Kids indoor soccer league team to cut out the notches...

It's impressive. And likely the price of competing in today's era of spectator sports.

One has to wonder if this is as big and sophisticated as scoreboards will ever be? I only say that expecting the next evolutionary step will be interactive replay screens mounted in each chairback or an app that allows us to view all that content and more through our own devices.

Visually, television has exceeded the viewing experience in most any venue. What's missing is still palpable: the energy of a sellout crowd, the smell of nachos and popcorn and interaction with other fans. Of course those other fans don't spill beer down my back at home, so it's not all positive. But I wouldn't trade the reality of being there for the virtual reality just yet.

I do make that trade. Mostly because my in arena experience would also entail a two hour drive there and another two hour drive back. Plus I am cheap.

U see a lot of things at the game that you cant see on the tube. Stuff that goes on outside of the play, stuff that happens when the camera is off, stuff that goes on at the bench, and the visceral thrill of the sights and sounds. Watching on tv isn’t even close and never will be imho. Plus it’s nice just to get outside of the dayum house.

RE: New 5/3 Arena update
Over in the College Sports and Conference Realignment forum, some guy from Ohio University is bragging that the sound system in their field-house renovation weighs 4000 pounds -- a truly novel way to assess the quality of a facility. I sure hope our sound system weighs more than that. It would be embarrassing if it were to weigh less.

By the way, does anyone know how much the new fridges are going to weigh in 5/3rd's remodeled concession areas? How about the light fixtures in the johns? Has anyone weighed them? I'd hate to think there's a school out there, especially a rival, whose stuff weighs more than ours.

I have a sound system that I bought in 1992. Complete with a stereo/receiver, a cd player, speakers, etc. They all still work well. I can assure you they are heavier than anything my kids have. I can also assure you they are not better because of their weight.

Based on recent news, sounds like the desk drawers in tO$U's football offices can hold a lot of dildos...

"Sousaphone" is a subset of "Tuba"
All sousaphones are tubas. Not all tubas are sousaphones. (We had to learn something in 4 years of college)
Yep, they all weight more. So by OSU logic - "Superior" (I knew OSU was good for something)

When you get into "bones", you got something slip sliding around.

A stupid metric. Each time I buy a new TV it gets lighter.

I thought the dildos in tO$U's offices sat behind a desk. 02-13-banana
