No Hard Hat Wednesday yesterday due to vacation schedules at UC, but there will be one next week. So instead they posted a bunch of new pictures

As much as I've always loved the 'shoe, I always hated that empty space in the corners. No more!

Looks like one NICE area.

Yep. Pretty exciting. Watching the FCC promo from Tuesday, Nippert is awesome on television. 5th/3rd will be too, especially packed full with our passionate fans when OSU rolls in a few months from now. Beginning with Varsity Village, UC has transformed athletic facilities into some first class venues that are more than P5 ready.

Read an interesting interview with Aresco from the Dallas paper yesterday. The AAC is just five years old next month. In spite of our frustrations, it has been remarkable in many ways. Men's and Women's basketball national championships; UCF's undefeated season, impressive bowl wins; four teams in the NCAA baseball tourney this year. UC can succeed at a high level here (until P5 realignment of course) and the new 5th/3rd will be the next evolutionary step.

I'm guessing any recruits at this stage are getting the full blown hard hat tour?

6/6/ video update. Looks like a lot of bleacher seating - more than I expected.

This should give you a pretty good idea of what is bleacher seating and what is seatback.

The place just looks smaller than it used to.

You can cram a lot more people into bleachers than individual seats. I guess it was a way to keep the capacity at a reasonable level. Maybe?

I think it's a costing thing. You have to offer more affordable seats, and it looks like the minimum season ticket price went up 50%.

RE: New 5/3 Arena update
Overall, very impressed and excited.

I was curious how they would achieve the gray exterior that was pictured in the original renderings and I'm surprised they are painting the brickwork. I'm sure technology has improved paint adhesion on brick and mortar but that would seem to add an unnecessary, ongoing maintenance expense.

I'm also glad they're attending to the east entryway and making that a more attractive and functional gathering space for fans. The original arena didn't have much eye appeal as you approached the building and I think it's going to have more character when completed. To me, this, and the entire Varsity Village now shout P5 ready...and waiting.

That's a pretty awesome visualization.

One thing I learned from that...someone thinks there will be people willing to pay thousands of dollars to sit 5 feet in front of the student sections and go deaf. That'll be an interesting experiment in the extents of luxury seating 03-lmfao

Those seats have been there for years. I sat at them for the UC v. Memphis game in 2002 where Logan went coast to coast to tie and UC won in OT>

Affordable seats are at the top. If you want to win at a high level you need to fork over the cash. I’d like to see how the ticket prices stack up against the norm in college basketball.

Did you look at the seats? The bleachers are at the top except the Student Section.

UC struggled to sell out 5/3 with $100 season tickets in a majority of the upper deck. To get a seat you are looking at $250 which is in line with most of the conference from what I can see.

If $250 is in line with most of college b-ball, then they are priced correctly. $100 for season seats is dirt cheap, unless we are talking per game.

Am I blind or stupid or both? I don't see any options for the live seating selection after logging in. I need to get this site figured out before next Tuesday.

Its not super obvious , but after logging in go to My Account .... there should be a section that says "Upgrade Opportunities" with one item under it that says 2018-19 Mens Basketball Seat Selection.

This is on a desk top , it may be different on a mobile device

You shouldn't be doing this on a mobile device.
