As for the "damage", I think the damage has been done. It's not Trump's fault, and not conservatives fault, that the memo is likely to show strong political partisanship in decision-making at the highest levels of the FBI. Do their job like they're supposed to do it, and we wouldn't be having the conversation.

Obama's IRS got away with way too much against political enemies. Trump's putting a stop to using America's taxpayer-funded DOJ to harrass those with whom they don't agree politically.
