Pelicans and Bulls have reached an agreement in principle on Mirotic trade, league sources tell ESPN.

Pelicans guard Tony Allen will join Asik in the trade to the Bulls, league source tells ESPN.

That's a nice pickup for New Orleans. Mirotic is a excellent shooter. Feel for TA. Probably thought he was going to play in his hometown.

Agree. The only way I would even get on board with it is if TA announces he's retiring at the end of the year and he can't get on a playoff team.

If both those things occur then I wouldn't mind having him back to retire in a Grizz uniform.

Some gang bangers were trying to take TA out eariler in his career. It's probably best for him not to play in Chicago

Yep. And even if the Grizz FO wanted to, we have no room. Have the full 15, and need to convert Kobi from his two-way.

Good deal for the Bulls. Mirotic is expendable with Markkanen and Portis on the roster.

When they trade Evans, they might add filler depending on the deal. May end up with fewer players.

But if you want to give young guys PT, will TA be down with acting as a mentor on a non-playoff team?
