You are right. They aren't bad. Instead, they are horrible! Especially considering actual attendance is closer to half that number. There are high schools that draw more people to their gyms than ECU does. It's truly remarkable how bad ECU basketball has been for so long.

Something something football attendance

I seem to recall us averaging about 4~4.5k in the recent past. The constant let downs must be getting to folks. I guess without a HC it's hard to even pretend there is a reason to show up right now.

1) Wichita State 10,506 (5 games)

3) UCONN 8,667 (4)
4) SMU 6,587 (5)

6) Tulsa 5,395 (4)
7) Temple 5,339 (5)
8) UCF 5,276 (4)
9) Houston 3,751 (4)
10) ECU 3,593 (5)
11) USF 3,079 (5)
12) Tulane 1,790 (5)

AAC Conf Game Average: 5,755

*NOTE: Home games this year played at Northern Kentucky Univ.

That's bad. I was hoping this year the AAC would finally jump in front of the MWC for 7th in conference basketball attendence. Last year the AAC was within 1,000 fans average per game of the MWC and 7th place. Looks like it might be 9th rather than 8th if these numbers are correct.

There's not a firm number on capacity for the Fertitta Center yet but it will be between 7,000-7,500. One side will be entirely premium seating (floor, club, loge, and terrace seating). Students will have the lower sideline seats across the way. There's a naming contest for that section and so far the leading candidate is "Where is Everyone."

I give Memphis a pass...they will get it back as soon as they start winning again. I attended a game there when Cuse played them and it was legit sold out (or within a couple hundred).

I've only been able to make the first two home games (Little Rock and NO) and the Cincy game but the crowds sure looked bigger than 6,300 to me.

this was the crowd at Memphis vs Cincy just a week ago

Moody only holds 7K so there isn't much they can do to raise the attendance. I guess you could say their capacity sucks, but then they probably wouldn't have the same kind of home court advantage that they have now.

The Reynolds Center holds 8355, or something like that. So we're obviously not gonna have 8500+ at any time.

This is the highest our attendance has been since Haith got here I believe so that is a positive at least.

Why was the BOK Center built? Over 19k and beautiful...but surely has to be losing money.

Hopefully Tulsa can get back in the Top 25 and host a few games there in the future.

The Cincy game was the outlier. I think it was 12k announced for that game.

Just realized that Wichita, UCONN, Cincy are the only schools that could ever conceivably average over 15k but they don't have the facilities. Teams with facilities could never get that kind of support.

The best an AAC team could get in average attendance is around #30 nationally. Not great for a power basketball conference.

Not trying to talk ****, just sad observation.

Realistically if we wanted to go for that. Wichita has a relatively new Arena downtown that holds 15k (and we sell that out once a year).

It's no where near the same environment as our home arena though.

You should probably just lurk, you're not looking very smart right now. You're fan of a team who doesn't play road games till New year's so my guess is you also have little experience outside of the frozen tundra's pimple on Manhattan's ass Syracuse, New York.

That wasn't built for the university, in fact we don't want to play more than a couple games there so it can remain a neutral court for the NCAA we use it like Wichita does their downtown stadium.

The BOK has finished in the top 25 in the nation in tickets sold pretty much every year since it opened, been top 50 in the world multiple times, and won awards as best arena in the country.
