Saturday scenarios-
so looking there are 3 games that are huge for Saturday....
Creighton/Marquette
Butler/Seton Hall
St John's/Providence....

If Creighton beats Marquette 2 seeds are easy. Creighton is 3 at 11-7 and Marquette is 7 at 10-8....

then-
If Providence wins-
Seton Hall wins- 2-0 vs PC (Seton Hall 4, Providence 5, Butler 6)
Butler wins- 1-1 vs PC (Providence 4, Butler 5, Seton Hall 6

If Providence loses-
Seton Hall wins- Seton Hall 4, Providence 5, Butler 6
Butler wins- Butler 4, Seton Hall 5, Providence 6

Now- if Creighton loses- everything opens up:
If Providence, Butler wins:
3 Providence 10-8 1-1 vs But, 1-1 vs Cre Xavier win
4 Butler 10-8 1-1 vs PC, 1-1 vs Cre Nova win
5 Creighton 10-8 1-1 vs But, 1-1 vs PC
6 Marquette 9-9 2-0 vs SH
7 Seton Hall 9-9 0-2 vs Marq

If Providence, Seton Hall win
3 SH 2-0 vs Providence, 1-1 vs Creighton
4 Cre 1-1 vs Providence, 1-1 vs Seton Hall
5 PC 0-2 vs SH, 1-1 vs Cre
6 Butler 2-0 vs Marquette
7 Marquette 0-2 vs Butler

If St Johns, Butler wins
3 Butler 10-8 sweep over Marquette
4 Creighton 10-8
5 Marquette 9-9 3-1 3 way tie
6 Seton Hall 9-9 2-2 3 way tie
7 Providence 9-9 1-3 3 way tie

If St John's, Seton Hall wins-
3 Creighton 10-8 win over Nova
4 Seton Hall 10-8
5 Butler 9-9 3-1 3 way tie
6 Providence 9-9 2-2 3 way tie
7 Marquette 9-9 1-3 3 way tie

For Marquette, if Seton Hall wins, they will be 7th no matter what the other 2 games are.

RE: Saturday scenarios-
1 important thing- if DePaul loses to Xavier- St John's will be in the 8/9 game vs Georgetown. If DePaul wins, unless Georgetown beats Villanova, it'll be Georgetown/DePaul in the 8/9 game and St John's would be 10. If Georgetown and DePaul both win- Georgetown/St John's would be your 8/9 game and DePaul would be 10 seed.

RE: Saturday scenarios-
so looking for bubble teams-

Providence if they lose vs St John's this weekend-(if they beat St John's I think they're in pretty easily)
If Creighton beats Marquette:
Seton Hall wins- Seton Hall 4, Providence 5, Butler 6 (so Providence vs Seton Hall)
Butler wins- Butler 4, Seton Hall 5, Providence 6 (so Providence vs Creighton)

If Marquette beats Creighton
Seton Hall wins- Providence vs Creighton
Butler wins- Providence vs DePaul on Wednesday night (this could be a scenario where it would take 2 wins for Providence to make tourney, as 19-14 in this scenario gets PC only a 58 RPI).

For Marquette, they need to win obviously, and I really think it would help them if Butler beats Seton Hall. That would get them out of playing DePaul and seet up a scenario where a win vs either Providence or Creighton gets them into the tourney.

RE: Saturday scenarios-
I have no idea how Marquette still has any realistic chance to get into the tournament, but it is apparently still there. Saturday's game is an absolute must win. Butler was like that earlier this year. I'd argue home game against Providence was one. And at DePaul was one. They haven't done well this year in these types of games. We will see.

part of it is someone has to make the tourney. I mean games like what just finished up with Wisconsin beating Maryland just show that big time. Temple fans are lamenting about last night's game with UConn because everyone around them lost, yet they couldn't take advantage of it in the least.

RE: Saturday scenarios-
there could be some fun scenarios on Saturday night- Butler/Seton Hall-

If Providence and Creighton both win earlier... The winner of the Butler/Seton Hall game finishes 4 or 5 and plays Providence 1st round. The loser plays Creighton in the 3/6 game.
If Creighton wins and Providence loses earlier. Butler wins- Butler/Seton Hall would rematch in the 4/5 game, while PC and Creighton play. If Seton Hall wins- it's Seton Hall/Providence in the 4/5 and Creighton gets Butler in 3/6
If Providence and Marquette both win earlier. Butler wins- it's 3 Providence/6 Marquette and 4 Butler/5 Creighton. Seton Hall falls to 7. If Seton Hall wins- 3 Seton Hall/6 Butler rematch, and 4 Creighton/5 Providence. Marquette 7th.
if both Providence and Creighton lose.... Butler wins- Butler/Seton Hall would rematch in 3/6 game, Creighton/Marquette would rematch in 4/5 game, while PC is 7. Seton Hall wins- Creighton/Providence in 3/6, Seton Hall/Butler in the 4/5 game. Marquette remains 7.

I think no matter what the Butler/Seton Hall game will mean something. If Marquette wins vs Creighton, 5 teams will be impacted by that last game, no matter what.
