RE: College Football's Top 20 Teams On The Rise
It's interesting they have Tulane on there. When Fritz came to GS, there wasn't anything to rebuild. The team was fresh off an SEC win and went to the national title game the year before. All the players that Jeff Monken had been recruiting fit in Fritz's play style like a glove. That's why he was instantly successful here.

It's not the case at Tulane where he's having to do a major rebuilding job and it won't happen quickly without easy access to talent. I do believe that eventually they will be successful, but I haven't seen anything that would make me say they are a team "on the rise." More like a team trying their best.

Fritz is a good coach and given time they will be consistently good at Tulane. This year's recruiting class is finally in the top half of the AAC but he will probably need a couple more like that to overcome years of neglect there.

You have not watched any games it is quite apparent they are not a dumpster fire anymore and he just killed in recruiting. You cant just roll the ball out there anymore and have your back up in by half time now with them. Want to say this year they turn the corner but probably next. Upgrade in talent and Fritz and staff know how to develop, recruit and coach.

Every team not named Georgia Southern is basically a dumpster fire for TBD, it's pretty much common knowledge at this point.

Probably would've been better to just title it "teams most likely to improve this season". ULM and Tulane I think might both make bowl games this year.

I'd argue that the only position I have really seen them have trouble with is QB.

They're still struggling with it somewhat.
