Another 8th place finish in the MAC this season, AT BEST.

Yes, this is such a waste.
*NBA prospect in Thompson (albeit long shot)
*Solid MAC level talent in Jackson, Bond, and Minnie (albeit inconsistent, though I blame coaching )
*Solid complimentary/role players in Groce, Nobles, Ellison, and McAdoo (albeit weak at backup center).

This is as complete a team as a MAC program can ask for. Murphy CAN’T coach.

I've got the Pistons on now. I recommend everyone else switch too. Up 7 on the Cavs in the 2nd Q.

RE: Game Day: WMU
that was brutal. i haven't posted much lately because i don't enjoy posting the same negative things over and over, but jesus, i just want to watch a decent EMU team.

i've been able to convince myself to have hope through the Boone and Ramsay years, and i've been optimistic at the start of each Murphy season except maybe the first.

i love EMU, love basketball, and will continue to watch, but like Frank has said a few times, i have no enthusiasm for this team right now. it seems like such a squandered opportunity to have a fun team that makes noise in the MAC tournament.

Again the pregame was used mostly to show off dunks which by my observations the made good on less than half.

RE: Game Day: WMU
One good thing from last night: the promotions and outreach seemed to work very well for getting students out there. Hundreds of students attended.

Copy everything for a game next season, and use the same tactics for the rest of the year. Even in a relatively dull and declining season we had a great student crowd there. Athletics marketing learned a lot from last night.

Most of the students left halfway through the second half. The ball St and BG games are now 50/50 games.

Agree. The pregame dunking was the deciding factor. 03-lmfao
