Well since the response is often the curse of death (Bobby Jindal), why would the Democrats want to jinx Maxine Waters' political future?

And by the way, she's not even attending the SOTU speech so it will be tough for her to have a response to something she doesn't watch.

Also, I'm not sure how the Republicans can claim the Democrats are bias against blacks, when there are 46 Democratic members of the Black Congressional Caucus, and just one Republican (Mia Love of Utah).

My post is more sarcasm that serious, I would hope mainstream democrats (if there is such a thing) view her a fringe representative not the heart of the party, if not why wouldn't they want her to get the prime time slot?

If and that's a big IF ol' Maxine does give the opposing view will they have captions underneath her for us that have a hard time understanding her. I do have a hard time when she talks and it's not because she's a minority but because she's pretty stupid.

She is used to speaking to her district through TV and other communication devices so this should be no different.

So they got a new kennedy to be the poster boy for the dems.
