Anybody know the "backstory" of how we landed the #6 from the state of Georgia of all places?

Monty has been able to get one of the top players out of Illinois(Nader), 6 and 10 Key&Bradley from Wisconsin. 2nd ranked Minnesota(Wilson) so it’s not surprising that he landed Justin Lee.

Yep, that's it! He was impressed with the astounding play on the floor, superb coaching, and the rabid cheering of all 733 fans. All captured by the ESPN cameras for the nation to marvel at.

It seems like it is always sarcasm or dirty adolescent like lecherous double entendres with you. Do you ever have anything positive to say other than about the women?

People complain about our basketball schedule, but a look at our next opponent's schedule shows wins over Siena Heights, Eureka, Sam Houston State, Cal Poly, CSU Bakersfield, Jackson State, Montana State, Tennessee Tech, UMKC, SIU Edwardsville and Lawton.

So what's your point?
Central Michigan is 13-8 overall, but 2-6 in the MAC. They also lost by seven (72-65) at Michigan. Aside from Siena Heights, Eureka and Lawton, the others are at least Division I opponents.
Are you forgetting that Monty's vaunted 21-13 campaign was a result of the single-worst schedule in NIU men's basketball history. Just like CMU, the Huskies included a win over Eureka plus three more non-Division I programs in Indiana Northwest, Roosevelt and Judson ..... and then followed by a 9-9 MAC record?
And the current record is 10-11 overall and 3-5 in the MAC going into the next game. As for the 13 non-conference foes this year, only one foe (Penn) is above .500 for the year (13-6) and in conference (3-0) ALL OTHERS ARE .500 OR LOWER IN THEIR CONFERENCES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF UIC at 6-3 in the Horizon ....but 11-11 for the year

Just making an observation that other schools do it also. I am not saying that their haven't been cupcakes on the men's schedule, I was just surprised at the lack of "name recognition" on CMU's schedule. Saying someone is a Division 1 opponent is not a very high bar as there are 347 Division 1 schools.

Agreed. On paper (and in many cases on the court), this is a very talented team. Yet, once again, the team is hovering around mediocrity. What's the reason? And, please don't say it's because we're young again. That excuse was used for the past 7 years and it will be used in the next several years. And if it were true, what's the reason for it? The young excuse is getting old.

You may not like the answer...but that doesn't mean it's not true. Keep whining about the mediocre stuff and 'excuses'. Doesn't change it. 222 even said it's his fault, but the fact is Monty hasn't been able to keep the talent he recruits here and develop it, so we're not only young, but not an experienced group together. Hence, mediocre.
