We Memphis fans may have taken for granted that level of talent we had back then-- W Barton, j jackson, Black, and C Crawford. (But, no disrespect to our current players. Martin is a poor man's joe jackson. Parks probably has better stats than Black did that season.)

Hard to see a win. Last game, Cincy pulled out the starters with over 10 minutes left in the 2nd half. Around 5 minutes left in the half we were playing against their walk-ons and still couldn't close the gap. If the starters had played 40 minutes, we would have gotten beat by 50 points.

That was what was my disheartening to me, at the time. We could have been beaten by 50 points and that should never, ever be the case with Memphis basketball. Tic Price would have given more than what we saw that night.

Tigers will not beat the Country's 8th ranked team with Junior College players.

Don't get me wrong I hope they do but we don't have the talent to compete at this level... Cincin would have to play their worst game of the year to get beat tonight...

It was pretty disheartening all right.

And then to see Joe E at the end...kinda laughing and shooting the shiat with Cronin was surreal.
