Another good effort, but another tough loss. Major mistake not to call a timeout and taking a 5-second call (we had 3 timeouts to burn) at a critical moment when we still had a chance.

Good Guys head to Drexel next Thursday night. I imagine we'll be in it with 2 minutes left and find a way to lose.

Someone please tell Coach Rowe he can’t carry those 3 timeouts into the next game!!

The good news of the day is that JMU outrebounded CoC and Wear Purple is killing his bookie.

Gotta find a way to scratch out a road win at Drexel next in a rematch of the CAA pillow fight for last place.

Agree 100%. Major brain fart there. Also, Lewis should not pick up his dribble. And, if he does, don't stand there and spin on a pivot foot. Guys need to come to the ball in that scenario as well. I mean...all...the...way...to...the...ball...if needed. But, no question about it, Rowe deserves criticism for not calling a TO in that situation in particular. Hell, I'm surprised even one of the players didn't call a TO.

Absolutely.

The underdog in Dukes games has (now) covered the spread in 6 straight games, 8 of the last 9, and 11 of the last 13 going back to the Richmond game.

Also, after playing over the total in 6 straight games, Dukes games have gone under the total (including today) in 4 of the last 5.

My associates in Vegas advise me Drexel, coming off a big home upset win over NE today, should be around 5 pt favorites when the Good Guys pay a visit Thursday night. Dukes will be tied with a minute left and lose by 3, but cover.

I hated the lack of urgency at the end of the game. We had several possessions down 3 and we are taking up the entire shot clock and then taking desperation shots. Play with pace and run some offense!!

The Dukes have been shorthanded with injury, transfer and suspension situations, but the offensive contributions from the bench were pathetic in this game. These guys have got to step it up and find a way to provide meaningful minutes and help the team.
