RE: UConn men's basketball under investigation
Seems kinda neither here nor there about his success. UConn gave the guy a new five-year deal after the NC, and re-upping has become more of a current thing than it was customary (it used to be bonuses). Maybe it's got to go back to the old way of that bonus structure.

How many new contracts has Saban signed now? What is a contract anymore if it can be revised and updated so frequently?

Sadly, I agree UNC showed how to handle the NCAA. I assume UCONN has the money to pay what UNC did in legal fees. The question, does this work for G5 programs?

UNC has more clout then UConn

UCONN is having a rough time of it lately. Having to cut college football season ticket prices is not something you see very often these days. http://www.espn.com/college-football/sto...3-9-season

They didn't "have" to cut season ticket prices, they wanted to cut season ticket prices. Randy Edsall suggested it and the school listened. If we have 16,000 season ticket holders at current prices, we would need 17,777 season ticket holders to make that same money. While the 10% discount is only for the current season ticket holders, the school is planning on reducing the price of some single game tickets, too. The bet is that cheaper tickets will result in more butts in the seats. The hope is to make the same money while creating a better game day atmosphere.
