Yum brands is doing its best to destroy this icon. Everyone thought the first guy was creepy, this might be #2 on the creepiness scale.

What's interesting is that the actual Colonel was a big fan of exploitation grindhouse movies and acted in quite a few of them, he'd usually give free food to the cast and crew in exchange for some product placement and a cameo. If you want to do a good ad campaign with the Colonel it'd be funny if you had him going around to a lot of sketchy situations (e.g. implied drug deals, arguments, car accidents, etc) yet he shows up with chicken and everyone's problems are solved.

Like I said, this guy could be Colonel Sanders.

I could care just a little bit less, but not too much.... Nothing I saw there screamed SJW to me... I think it's silly and stupid but I'm not going to run my business somewhere else over it.

Same here. I mean they've been having people do relatively absurd renditions of the real colonel Sanders for some time. Personally, they should have kept Norm McDonald and been done with it........

I thought Norm McDonald was ok as Colonel Sanders. If you want a bizarre Colonel Sanders depiction with a healthy dose of politics, look to the Funny or Die skit:

Yeah, I tend to agree. Those KFC commercials the last several years have just been weird.

Not everything is political.

There is nothing political in KFC using a star that is in the demographic that used to be KFC customers and mostly moved their business to CFA to try to get them back while fitting in with their really stupid ongoing campaign.

I think the whole country is turning schizophrenic. When I worked at the prosecutor's office I got stuck handling citizen complaints and we had a couple schizophrenics who were frequent fliers. How someone left their newspaper on the bus was a sign.

That was a suck job.
One of my coworkers was working with a woman needing an order of protection from a violent POS she was asking if that meant she was completely protected. He explained it's just a piece of paper, if he follows it, then it worked, if he doesn't then that means police can arrest him. She asked what was she supposed to while waiting on the police. He said keep your doors and windows locked, don't open the door without checking who it is, consider staying with a friend or having one stay with you and if you are really worried there are places that sell pepper spray or consider this and opened his desk drawer and pulled out his Glock.
I ended up having to sit in the prosecutor's office to repeat what I had heard because someone had accused him of telling her to buy a gun and shoot him. After I backed him up all was golden. About a week after that I got to arraign the POS after he kicked her door in. When that cops arrived he was staggering around blinded by pepper spray and she had her brand new pistol in her hand pointed at him in case he fought through it.
