Simple answer.

The memo was drafted from a classified IC report. Nunes then took that report and pulled what he wanted out of it to paint a narrative and then made fiery claims about it.

So to recap:
1. He could be potentially revealing classified information.
2. He would not be providing a complete and total picture of the assessment from the IC.
3. etc.

Need we really go on? Or have you forgotten already how up in arms the right was about classified information when it pertained to H? I believe it had something to do with perp walks and orange jump suits.

Yet you seem eager to believe whatever it is the Dems will be putting out. Why is that?

When did I ever say that? Actually, I hope the dems do not put something out. They'll look as foolish as Nunes looks now. Best to just let Nunes, Johnson, et. al. look like the morons we all know they are.

Before you start calling the R's names maybe you should start with your side* first. I don't seem to recall you calling Adam Schiff a moron. Why is that?

* - your side would be the liberal/progressive side.

Well, he hasn't taken any midnight runs to the white house to make himself one. And spare me the I'm objective and you're not 04-bs.

Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told House Intelligence Committee chairman Rep. Devin Nunes in a letter Wednesday that releasing a memo prepared by the committee's staff alleging abuses at the Department of Justice and FBI would be "extraordinarily reckless."

Republicans have been urging for the release of the memo, which, as Boyd pointed out, likely contains highly classified information. In the letter, obtained by CBS News, Boyd highlights how crucial it is that the committee not release the memo to the public for reasons of national security. The memo describes the FBI's supposed abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/doj-tells-d...-reckless/

"Reckless" for who is the question. You realize the DOJ is essentially being investigated. Thats essentially the party being investigated dictating what evidence you do and dont need to see. Can you imagine if Trump said "you dont need to see that" in response to an evidence request from Mueller? lol....You would have a dozen threads going just on that topic alone.

Lets be honest---we've already seen the dossier. Thats the source material the memo is based on. There is nothing in that memo we have not seen except how badly they misrepresent the dossier in an attempt to spy on an opposition candidate. Thats why the memo is incredibly important.

Adam Schiff for weeks on end looked like and acted like a moron, and you were strangely silent. So spare me the "I'm on a lifetime pursuit of the truth" 04-bs when you can't even admit that Schiff is a moron.

Do you think that a 4 page memo, backed by about 384 pages of documentation does not exist? Wow

I'm not talking about the memo. I have no doubt that Nunez cherry picked information and put it in some memo.

I'm talking about the notion that there is a Deep State conspiracy against Trump.

Jesus Christ they used a bogus report to tap the mobile phones of the inner circle of a Presidential candidate.

I feel the same way. If we are going to get to the bottom of the so called "secret state" then release all of it.

Oddly enough, I was watching an interview last night with Trey Goudy last night.

He suddenly blanched when he was asked why not release everything and quickly back tracked and said that wouldn't be a good idea.

Quote:"Everything in the memo they already have," Gowdy said. "What they don't know specifically is what are the complaints. And I'm fine to share them with them, but you can't possibly say a memo was reckless if you haven't read it."

Don't recall which of our looney lefties it was, perhaps the guy who was a big UCF fan, almost crying one day because "there's a possibility that a presidential campaign met with the Russians and discussed trading the lifting of sanctions for help in winning the election"......or something very close to that.

But the FBI using a dubious piece of "intelligence" to ask a FISA judge for permission to spy on not just Americans, but an American running for the office of president, and they all look the other way. Meh.

If I was a cynic, which I'm not........

lol....thank the good goodies for those with the gift of the 'if'

RE: DOJ: Nunez Memo "Extraordinarily Reckless"
Quote:FBI Memo Names James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, and Andrew McCabe

A controversial Republican memo alleging surveillance abuse specifically names FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein along with former FBI Director James Comey.

Capitol Hill sources on both sides of the aisle say the memo’s release is only a matter of time. And when it comes out, these current and former officials — all GOP bêtes noires — are likely to face even more criticism from the right over their involvement in FBI counterintelligence work.

The memo is enormously controversial. Hill Democrats and former FBI officials say it’s a ploy to damage public confidence in the FBI and undermine Mueller’s investigation. Republicans, meanwhile, say the memo contains massively disturbing evidence of FBI wrongdoing.

Am I the only one who thinks Trey Gowdy would have been a much better choice for AG than Jeff Sessions?

Think of all the BS we could have avoided.

I hoped Trump would name Gowdy to head the DOJ the day he won the election.

You just saw it, too? That was pathetic. If the Real Clear Politics guy wasn't such a consummate professional, he would have told him off. "Well, that's your opinion, Shep."

It irks me that he pretends to be "fair and balanced". He is so obviously an alt-left shill.

Plus, he's a fayyyyg

And THAT is why he’s there.

It's apparent the memo has stuff in them that make the Demons nervous. Otherwise, why would that idiot Schiff say that they will bring out their version of the memo? There's only one memo, the one that was missing through, uh, a mistake (I'm giving the crooked FBI the benefit of the doubt) and now Congress has it and the Demons are shiteing bricks. And that includes the Demons on this board.

The Repubs say let the world know and the Demons say, "NO WAIT! We have our own version. LOL

I think the memo was generated by pubs on the panel, not the FBI, and the memo summarizes their take on information (some of it classified) about the roles of the FBI and DOJ in the Clinton home brew server fiasco, the Russian collusion fiasco, and the FISA warrants fiasco. But I could be wrong.

I believe it came from Rosenstein. He begged Ryan not to release it.
