Premier League rights could hit 10.9 billion pounds
That's pounds, not dollars...

This article is primarily about the rights deal in Britain although that's where most of the EPL's money comes from anyway. The total figure from global rights could approach 11 billion pounds though.

Bloomberg reports

I also found this study interesting...Southampton is now in the top 20 globally by revenue...SOUTHAMPTON!?!?

Quote:Underscoring the Premier League’s global appeal, financial-services company Deloitte on Tuesday released a study showing a record 10 English teams among the world’s 20 biggest by revenue. Southampton joined the Top 20 group, dubbed the Money League, for the first time at 18th and AC Milan, one of the world’s giant clubs historically, fell out for the first time since the table began 21 years ago.

I'll be interested to see if NBC does retain the rights and what role Amazon might play in all this.
