125,000 Disney employees to receive $1,000 cash bonus due to tax reform
Disney announces a one-time cash bonus of $1,000 for over 125,000 employees.
The company will also make a $50 million investment into a new employee education program.
Both initiatives are a result of the recent tax reform.

Disney says both initiatives are due to recent tax reform. Some of the biggest companies in the United States have been giving out bonuses to employees, often citing the recently-passed tax bill as the motive. Boeing, AT&T, Wells Fargo, Comcast, Bank of America and Walmart are just a few of those distributing new tax benefits to workers.

The bonus applies any full-time and part-time employees who have been working for Disney since before January 1. Those eligible will receive the bonus in two parts, with one in March and the other in September. Executive level employees are exempt.

Also, Disney will produce a Netflix/Marvel series for each of these 125,000 employees featuring a super hero based on them.

125 million is a lot of money. What are liberal supporting companies like Facebook, Twitter and Google giving their employees? I'm sure I must have missed it.

This is great news. I wonder how we are going to pay for it?

Disney just brought in over 1.2 billion from last jedi, 125 million is not a lot of money for them.

Well they don't actually have to give anything. Just a paycheck is all they're required to pay. So I don't look a gift horse in the mouth. Could you imagine getting a gift and demanding more? What a schmuck you'd be.
