Are you putting this potentiality forth as a good thing or a bad thing?

A little bit of both, to be honest.

For UCF, Tulane, and Tulsa it is a good thing. For SMU and Temple, a bit of a let down.

How the hell is this a good thing for us?? this season has been an extreme dissapointment. Who cares about the NIT

Given the injuries and lack of chemistry as a result, gutting it out to 19 or 20 wins and a berth in the NIT could be a nice spring board to 2019.

Remember - we are only losing AJ Davis to graduation this year.

Everyone else is back.

Spin it however you want but we have a tourney team this year.

The question will be will Dawkins be at UCF next year? You have to wonder what openings will be at power schools that can offer him the money. Personally, I think he is the type of coach Louisville needs to hire to show they are moving in the opposite direction of Pittino. My question, is there enough money to pay him to deal with that headache? Still having Coach K whispering into the NCAA's ear never hurts.

What does that have to do with the thread? Piss-poor derailment. Your trolling has really gone downhill, and I hope to see a 3 day vacation in your future.

UCF fans acting like the NIT is a disappointment is funny.

I dont seem to remember a single at large in your storied history of one or maybe two NCAA appearances.

UCF is about to be a perennial tourney team and anyone with half a brain can see. Just like we are a football power. Finally got an AD that cares about building the revenue sports and it's only uphill from here. Scott frost contract extension had him making 5 mil in a couple years, that's literally taggart fsu money. Johnny Dawkins will get absolutely paid here when he builds a winner. We had probably a 7 seed this year with a healthy aubrey, tacko, and bj. There's a reason we were preseaon #3 in the american behind only two projected top 15ish teams

He was interviewed today and was very adamant that he wants the transfer rule changed, perhaps he wants to take his son with him?

aubrey's been in school 4 years. most likely he'd be a grad transfer at this point anyway. More likely just a huge fan of the transfer market, i mean he's already pulled 4 in less than 2 years here

Lol.... slow down. Let's see ucf make one tournament before we say they're about to be a perennial tournament team.

Admittedly an aggressive hot taek. But we have all the resources to get there

Thank you. I did not know that. That is always a good thing. I was sincere in my question. Dawkins is an excellent coach. Many in ACC country think he is the Coach K replacement whenever K steps down.

BTW, right now the Pack's coach has far exceeded my hopes for this year. To be even talking a NCAA slot for NCSU in Feb is amazing. I have a feeling Coach Keatts will be seeing a nice pay increase after one season. 04-cheers

SMU will keep dropping as another starter is out so we will most likely only have 5 players against Memphis tomorrow night.

So at this point, if everyone continues winning, do we think Temple is secure or is it best if they win the tourney to take it out of the committee's hands?

Four teams would be sweet.

If Temple can go 4-1 rest of the season, they're almost certainly a lock. They'd be 19-11 and a RPI of 28. With wins over #5 Auburn and #9 Clemson OOC. Resume's like that get in easily.

Yeah probably the most interesting resume of the bunch . [Image: DV7AytKUQAA1bHr.jpg]

If only not for those four Q3 and Q4 losses this would be easy

yeah you take those 4 losses out- and their own RPI record would be instead of 13.8-9.6 .590 17.4-5.2 .770. They would be sitting right now with the #11 RPI instead of #39. The question for them would be how high of a seed.
