Charter Day - Gold Rush Game
New Governor Ralph Northam to give the Charter Day address. Should be an interesting speech. I believe his son is a recent Alum.

2010. Glad to see the tradition of new governors speaking at Charter Day is continuing!

Students, also, had to pick up their free ticket this week. Can't get in with just their ID, so, hopefully even more student buy-in.

RE: Charter Day - Gold Rush Game
Would love to try to adopt a throwback Gold Jersey for Gold Rush at some point. This is blurry, but could go for something like it.

RE: Charter Day - Gold Rush Game
I saw the light blue jerseys of the opponents and got excited, overlooking the name on the front of the jerseys. I was thinking we had rare footage of a game against UNC but I guess it was The Citadel.

I am thinking the players in this clip are Ronnie Satterthwaite, Dennis Vail and maybe Rocky Copley? That's probably not right because the numbers for Vail and Copley don't seem right.

And the amount of hair present!

The two facing us are Vail and Satterhwaite. The #40 is not Copely. He had light colored hair. That could have been Mike Enoch or Jack Arbogast, but I do not remember who wore the #40.

I believe that was the game on December 6, 1975, won by the Tribe, 70-61. The Tribe was in the second of what would be four consecutive winning seasons.

I vaguely don't remember Enoch or Arbogast having hair that long (on # 40) --- although I'm sure that my hair was longer then than I remember now!

Enoch wore 24 and Arbogast was 10.

That, my friends is Mark Risinger if I'm not mistaken. Not a name that ever comes up on these boards, but a pretty good player.
